Comments about Ernie Ball 2008 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Rock and Blues Acoustic Guitar Strings 6 Pack:

I always wipe down my strings after playing to keep them sounding new and to prolong their life. I put a set of these on my Martin December 3rd and had to replace them after two weeks. They sounded great for the first few days but didn't last. Ernie Ball has always been my go-to brand for strings but I may look elsewhere for acoustic.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2008 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Rock and Blues Acoustic Guitar Strings 6 Pack:

I only use my acoustic guitar at church and at practice, but it does come out of the case in tune every time. They sound fine, do their job, smell nice, blah, blah, blah.

    Not for my acoustic

Comments about Ernie Ball 2008 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Rock and Blues Acoustic Guitar Strings 6 Pack:

I bought a 6 pack of these strings and was dissapointed. I have used Ernie Ball strings over the years on both my acoustic and electic. I put and brand new set on my Martin D-15 and they sounded awful. It sounded like the G, B and high E were made of tin. Now I am stuck with 5 more sets to use.

    Excellent on the Right Guitar

    By fastimes23

Comments about Ernie Ball 2008 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Rock and Blues Acoustic Guitar Strings 6 Pack:

After discovering these strings, they're the only ones I use for my acoustic. I have a Blueridge BR-160CE. Solid Spruce top and solid Rosewood back and sides. These strings are great at bringing out the crystal highs and deep lows that Rosewood is known for. They have better separation/clarity between notes than other strings I've tried. The lighter gauge high strings are excellent for bending and lead work as well. However, what I've heard from other guitar players is that these string don't respond the same on all guitars. That being said, a friend tried a set on his Taylor 310 with solid Spruce top and solid Sapele back and sides and said they sounded really thin and weak. Sapele is similiar to Mahogany, but with a stronger upper midrange. So, I would have to say that choosing these string should be based on the character of the woods your in your guitar. They're a definite must for Rosewood guitars.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2008 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Rock and Blues Acoustic Guitar Strings 6 Pack:

Earnie Ball Eatrthwoods,This set of strings is ok,for beginners, not a very good tone quality, for the acoustic. Very tinny sounding, but, do hold up well.E,A,D are very strong strings, G,B,A, are weak
