Needed new strings for my old acoustic bass. Had used this brand of bass strings before and I knew they would work just fine for me again.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2070 Earthwood Acoustic Bass Strings:

Being new to the acoustic bass, I have tried several brands and types to improve the volume of an unplugged bass, these seem to be the best for overall tone and volume and the price is right.

          Great Value

Comments about Ernie Ball 2070 Earthwood Acoustic Bass Strings:

My first time changing strings on an acoustic bass... although I busted the E (not knowing how to properly string a bass) it still holds and the bass now sounds phemonimal! Love the sound!

Perfect for Dean EAB and EABC

Comments about Ernie Ball 2070 Earthwood Acoustic Bass Strings:

These are the perfect strings for a Dean EAB or EABC. Flatwound sounds dull on acoustic bass in general so discount that idea if you are considering them. Elixirs make it sound sort of muffled and thuddy, and The D'Addario strings that everyone loves to rave about sound like crap. These strings seem to be the perfect marriage for the Dean Products. They really bring out the tone, and sing in a way that the other strings don't. The price is just a plus.

          Great Strings for Acoustics

Comments about Ernie Ball 2070 Earthwood Acoustic Bass Strings:

Well, if you're lucky enough to own a nice acoustic bass guitar, these are some strings to look at. They do have a little bit of a metallic sound to them, at least in my mind. But nothing to keep me from really enjoying them. They have great sustain and a nice balance of low and bright tone.Haven't used them on an electric, but as far as acoustic goes, these are at least a must try. For the money, it is worth it just too say you have Ernie Ball strings ;)
