Comments about Ernie Ball 2148 Super Slinky Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I have used pretty much every string available and always end up returning to Ernie's for my acoustics and my electrics. My only gripe is I get 3 maybe 4 gigs out of a set of strings before they start poppin and once one goes the rest are near behind. That's the downside. Upside, nothing sounds like them. I could use D'Addario's...but in my opinion they sound dead...as in lifeless...and yes, they last...but that just means they are around to irritate me more:..so, I suck it up and change the Ernie's. For me they are the best. I have them on my Ovations, my Taylor (which came with Elixirs..aargh, dry sounding string) and my 335s. Teles, and Strat. Thestrings both acoustic and electric are balanced tonally from string to string and react to nuance. The end.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2148 Super Slinky Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I've never been impressed with Slinkies. Not on electric or acoustic. They die fast and break often. These follow the same suit. I never did like these on my guitar. Bright for the first three days, dimmer over the next week, and then dull after that. Then your breakage starts occuring. Meh. Click the back button.
A basic set of Acoustic strings that will last a month or so.
Prone to string breakage and tone loss after two weeks. Lots of squeak. There are better choices out there.
For the same price you can buy a set of SIT or D'addario Strings that will last you longer, sound better, and play quieter. They will not break like these ones.

greatest strings on an acoustic I've ever herd

Comments about Ernie Ball 2148 Super Slinky Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These strings are so awsome. I got them out of the package and through them on and tuned up and I was in heaven. I swear that my 100 dollar acoustic guitar now sounds like a Martin & Co. guitar!!! My guitar teacher has a Martin & Co. and it sounds just like it. These strings are defenently worth it. I would defenently recomend buying these strings.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2148 Super Slinky Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I had been using regular slinky and loved them. Went to the super slinky to try and help with tendonitis in my left arm. With the light strings I was worried about tone, but they sound great, and have helped with my arm as they are easy to play. Will stick with these strings for a while.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2148 Super Slinky Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These seem to play like most strings in their price range. They do have a mellow, bright tone. However, I have noticed that they are rather squeaky when sliding.
