Finally, a coated set that offers plain strings the same deserving protection as wound strings!

Ernie Ball Slinky Acoustic Guitar Strings, feature patented coated Titanium RPS Technology that resists rust and grime for bright and powerful tone time after time.

Ernie Ball's titanium coated Slinky Acoustic strings are stronger and longer-lasting than traditional strings--either coated and uncoated strings. That's thanks in part to an exclusive protective coating on both the wrap wire and the plain strings as well as a patented winding of titanium wire around the lock twist of the ball end. Staying true to Ernie Ball's heritage of superb craftsmanship and sound quality, Slinky Acoustic Guitar Strings are made with the finest and freshest raw materials, resulting in a crisp ringing sound with pleasing overtones.

Enhancing the inherent string quality and freshness is Ernie Ball's new string packaging--the company's first new string packaging concept in more than 45 years. Produced and now hermetically sealed into their packages at Ernie Ball's desert headquarters in Coachella, CA, Slinky Acoustic strings are exposed to minimal moisture and humidity from factory to retailer--insuring that all Ernie Ball strings are as fresh upon opening as they were the day they were made.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2154 Coated Slinky Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I dont like changing strings very often so I thought I would try these coated strings from Ernie Ball.
The price was higher than what I usually pay but i figured that if i dont change as often the cost will be about the same.
I wasnt able to find a lighter gauge in this line which I prefer so these are a little stiffer and the action seems to be higher.
The tone is ok and seems to be getting better and they stay in tune from day to day which my old set did not.
Hopefully Ernie Ball will make a lighter gauge in this string which would probably be better for me.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2154 Coated Slinky Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

these strings are amazing! I have tried every string that can be found in a music store. When i found these, it ended my "perfect guitar string" search. I have been playing for 12 years, and own a martin dcx1re. these strings really add to the tone. i play really hard and these strings can last up to 2 months or longer! the tone is very bright and clear. these strings also stay in tune better than any other string i have ever tried. if you get the chance to try them, do it, thet wont let you down

Comments about Ernie Ball 2154 Coated Slinky Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Let me start by saying that I believe each guitar has it's own voice and one of the biggest parts of discovering and maximizing that voice is finding the right strings. I say this because I have only played these strings on one guitar, my Gibson Songwriter. I bought my guitar about 8 months ago and have been searching for the right strings. I've tried everything from cheap to high-end and couldn't find a match for this guitar. don't get me wrong many of the strings I used sounded good, a few even great, but something was always missing. I saw an ad in a guitar magazine and thought I'd give these a try...I was totally blown away! I never liked ANY of the coated strings I've tried before so I was more then skeptical but was also running out of opptions. To be honest I wasn't really interested in the claims of "long lasting tone" (but I'll get to that in a minute) what I was looking for was good rich, full tone that made me want to play and I got all I was hoping for and more with these. My experience with coated strings is that they tend to have a less then desirable tone due to what ever crap they put on them as well as the fact that often the strings themselves are not of the best quality but that is NOT the case with these. As for the claims of long lasting tone I can MORE then speak to the truth of this statement. I have to change my strings about ever week to week and a half. I play 2-3 sets a week as well as rehersals and personal time and have a problem burning thru strings, if my sweat doesn't kill them then my hard playing breaks them. All that said I have had the same set of strings on my guitar now for a little less then a month and they still sound great, play great, haven't broken and even look brand new. I truly can't say enough about these strings...buy them, try them and if you're like me I'm sure you will be very happy you did!

These strings are a high quality product. You can tell EB spent some time engineering the titanium wire and after two weeks, the strings sound as good as new. They provide a balanced yet vibrant tone on my Taylor and I've officially made the switch from Elixirs. Great job Ernie Ball....
