Love the strings; been using them for decades. I have a lot of joint pain and so I try to set up my guitars as light and low as possible -- super slinkys are the best I've found in all these years; they have decent tone that lasts a while, they don't break easily, and they're inexpensive enough to not break the piggity bank.

Shipping... I went for the free shipping, and I regret that. They came by some horrifying hybrid of UPS and post, and consequently the strings sat for days within 50 miles of me, unmoving, because apparently, the USPS doesn't exactly give he highest priority to packages UPS drops off on their doorstep. No wonder they can't make money.

Anyway, next time I'll happily pay for "pure" UPS shipping, and I'll get them on time like I do all the rest of my stuff from Muscian's Friend, I'll be able to track them all the way, and so forth. You gets what you pays for.

I highly recommend both the Slinkys and Musician's Freind. It's not their fault that USPS sucks like a vacuum cleaner jacked into 240 VAC.

These strings aren't that great. They're not bad, persay, but not that good, either. The tone they have is actually pretty good, although there are a little more lows than I like. They compare rather closely to Dean Markleys in tone. But after that, they start to fail. These strings don't seem to stay in tune as good as others. I had to stretch Ernie Ball strings more than most other strings I've tried to make them stay in tune. And even then, they don't stay as well as the others. Also, both sets of EB strings I've played have a stiff 'G' string, which I don't like. Also, that same string seems to be a bit quiter than the rest. Maybe it's made like that to offset the Stratocaster pickup poles? I don't know, either way, I would recommend Dean Markley or D'Adarrio strings before these.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Nickel Super Slinky Custom Gauge Electric Guitar Strings:

I love these strings and always have. I have tried other brands and wish I never would have. I buy a guitar, try the strings they came with new and always end up using these instead. I use them on electric and acoustic. These give clean crisp tones, bronze acoustic strings sound like they are muted compared to these. You can bend these all day long with no issues. The only other string I would consider are Ernie Ball 10's lol.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Nickel Super Slinky Custom Gauge Electric Guitar Strings:

I've used many different brands of strings over the years however I finally turned to EBSS's and after using them for just a few weeks now I already kick myself for not going to them sooner. This is the ultimate go to string for me because of the great tone they give off, their long life and their easiness to bend. I have yet to break one yet and I sometimes get crazy on them with my strumming. From beginners to pros I would at least recommend giving them a try.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Nickel Super Slinky Custom Gauge Electric Guitar Strings:

Depends on what guitar you put them on... I find them to be brighter sounding than a few other brands. This can be good or bad depending on what you want. If your guitar is already on the bright, trebly side, you might want to try something else like d'addario. If other strings sound too dark, bassy on your guitar, then try these.

I like the fact that every string is individually wrapped and labeled for ease of installation.
