Love the strings; been using them for decades. I have a lot of joint pain and so I try to set up my guitars as light and low as possible -- super slinkys are the best I've found in all these years; they have decent tone that lasts a while, they don't break easily, and they're inexpensive enough to not break the piggity bank.

Shipping... I went for the free shipping, and I regret that. They came by some horrifying hybrid of UPS and post, and consequently the strings sat for days within 50 miles of me, unmoving, because apparently, the USPS doesn't exactly give he highest priority to packages UPS drops off on their doorstep. No wonder they can't make money.

Anyway, next time I'll happily pay for "pure" UPS shipping, and I'll get them on time like I do all the rest of my stuff from Muscian's Friend, I'll be able to track them all the way, and so forth. You gets what you pays for.

I highly recommend both the Slinkys and Musician's Freind. It's not their fault that USPS sucks like a vacuum cleaner jacked into 240 VAC.

These strings aren't that great. They're not bad, persay, but not that good, either. The tone they have is actually pretty good, although there are a little more lows than I like. They compare rather closely to Dean Markleys in tone. But after that, they start to fail. These strings don't seem to stay in tune as good as others. I had to stretch Ernie Ball strings more than most other strings I've tried to make them stay in tune. And even then, they don't stay as well as the others. Also, both sets of EB strings I've played have a stiff 'G' string, which I don't like. Also, that same string seems to be a bit quiter than the rest. Maybe it's made like that to offset the Stratocaster pickup poles? I don't know, either way, I would recommend Dean Markley or D'Adarrio strings before these.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Nickel Super Slinky Custom Gauge Electric Guitar Strings:

I've been using these strings for over 40 years, and they're all I buy. You can bend & stretch these things like crazy and they'll take it. Hardly ever break the top string. Some of the best strings around at the lowest price. A no brainer.

Three crimps in the 3rd string on brand new 9's, which means replacing the entire set (I never change individual strings). Never again will I purchase Ernie Ball strings

I've been using the Ernie Ball "pinks" for over 20 years. While I do use other brands of strings, I know these will always do the job. Very consistent and priced right. You can't go wrong with these.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2223 Nickel Super Slinky Custom Gauge Electric Guitar Strings:

I've been using Super Slinky's on my Strat for about 15 years now and I love them. I've tried a couple others ( D'addario and RotoSound to name a few) over the years, but I always come back around to Ernie Ball.
A set usually lasts me about a month (2-4 hours daily playing time), they keep tune well, and they have great...bendability(? is that a word). I always recommend to newer players to try many different brands and gauges to see what they like and what fits their playing style/sound, but I think everybody should give these a try at least once.

I started using Ernie Ball strings when they first came out because they were recommended by the owner of my favorite music store in Iowa. I must have tried every brand of string they made and always came back to Ernie Ball. I have played professionally since 1964....back when Fender flatwound's on my Stratocaster were all the craze... Order a couple of sets. You won't be disappointed.

I've been using these strings for many years. Excellent quality, great tone! If you use a wammy bar, great wammibility (comes right back in tune). Yes, that is my new word of the day "wammibility". You can hear these strings live at my site link below on my CHANGING TIMES CD.
