These are the cheapest, easiest upgrade you can get for a new guitar. Even when I've gotten new Gibson's & Fender's from their factories, I cut off their's and put on Super Slinky 9's. Alot of my guitarist friends have gone up to 10's & 11's saying 9's are for wimp's, Heck with that, I've got COMPLETE control over 9's so that's where I'm staying ! If it works, DO FIX IT ! So for me, size realy doesn't matter especialy if you can't use them ! I can get Zakk's squeals and bends galore with chunky low end, IN TUNE ! They work just as well on all Floyd's too. If you haven't tried them yet, you do not know what you're missing out on ! They're bright, crisp, bend the easiest and last a long time which is what I'm looking for in a string. LOOK at their list of users, it alone speaks volumes ! Slash, Clapton & on & on...JUST GET SOME ! You'll see...Dr. LarRy approved !

It's a good thing that they give you the extra 2 sets, because your going to need em'. I usually use Blue Steels and a set of those last me about 4 months, and I'm brutal when I play. The thing is, I never got the chance to play on the EBs. Here's the experience. Put a set on, lubed them, started breaking them in, then the ball of the small E string flew off. This exact circumstance happened 3 more times. I even put a new spare set of a stopbar and bridge on, lubed it and it still happened. And when I break strings in, Im not going Hurcules on them and tugging them to outer space. I simply bent them like I was playing and they just break. The only good thing about this bundle pack of crap is that it comes with a lot of packs of crap. WOULD SOMEBODY PLEASE INVENT TITANIUM STRINGS SO THAT THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN?!

Great Strings. I play a lot of '70's rock & jazz. These strings sound consistantly good, and maintain their sound longer than others. I do a lot of Santana type bends and sustain and these strings just don't fail to deliver. There might be more expensive strings out there, but you get a lot of bang for the buck with these babies!

Still the best selection for my guitar. I use these on my Epiphone SG Special and my Peavey Wolfgang EXP. These strings resolve tuning issues on the SG for about a week and then the cheap tuners take over with frequent tuning required. On the Wolfgang; these work great with the double locking tremolo. Once the strings are properly balance and tuned; it is rare to have to fine-tune very much. I have never broken a string unless the current set has been installed for about 3-4 months and it always seems to be the 5th string (tremolo issue) but by then, the strings are garbage anyways.
Restores intonation, Crisp clean sound with out being overly bright(of course depending on the quality of pick-ups and amp)and an extremely strong string. Once stretched; tuning issues are resolved while the ease of bending is awesome (especially in flat).

I've been using these strings for 30 years plus and have always thought they performed well and were a great bargain. I can't remember ever opening any that had manufacturing problems. When they started packaging them in sealed packs I knew they had just made a great improvement for the shelf life of these strings. Humidity factors just went away and the life of the strings just got longer. So now buying the 10 packs plus 2 ..I know they will last and keep their great tone even longer! Great job Ernie Ball ! I recommend these strings to any musician looking for good strings at a great price!

I've been using these strings for almost 20 years on a multitude of guitars with every setup available. They just work they intonate, stay in tune & hold their tone. They can sing softly and they can scream. I also sweat some sort of alien acid that eats strings up over a weekend so, with these, I can afford to change strings when I want.

I've cycled through a bunch of different brands and gauges of strings and these ones are by far the best I've ever used for what I like to play. I highly doubt I'll find anything better.
