Stronger so they last longer.

Gauges 08-11-14-22-30-38.

Ernie Ball 2238 RPS electric guitar strings are reinforced versions of the standard Slinky. A patented winding of bronze wire is tightly wrapped around the lock twist of the ball end. String slippage and breakage are minimized at the ball end where these most often occur. RPS strings last longer and stay in tune better than conventional plain strings. Used on electric and acoustic guitars but, not classical guitars.

All Ernie Ball strings are precision manufactured to the highest standards and most exacting specs to assure consistency, optimum performance, and long life.

Ernie Ball is the pioneer of rock and roll guitar strings. Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Steve Vai, and Slash are among the long list of Slinky players.

You'll definitely feel and hear the difference. Order today.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2238 Extra Slinky RPS 8 Electric Guitar Strings:

I typically play 11 or ten guage strings. my electric guitar strings broke and i had no spare strings. I decided to try something new and expirement. I bought the pack of strings online and while waiting for them to come in, i played my acoustic (12 guage) quite often. When i got the strings, the packaging was great, i noticed that the b string was smaller than the size of the e string of my acoustic lol. they were super skinny and i knew it right after unpackaging. When i stung them and played, time moved slowly, the wind started blowing... i was in love. bending the e string made it feel no different from if i were to put thread on my guitar. my left hand fingers cant stop thanking me for deviating from the traditional gauges. The only drawback to this is that most guitar nuts are best suited for 9 guage, and it might go out of tune more. BUT this is an easy fix with the pencil lead trick
