Comments about Ernie Ball 2252 Classic Pure Nickel Hybrid Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

A quick read through the seven reviews on this site produce a nice summary of what I think most would say about the 2252's. Easy on the fingers and the sound is round, full, etc... I've been using this nice morphing of a .009 and .010 set wrapped in NICKEL since they brought them back. The bottom line is they sound and play like the pure nickel wrapped strings EB produced in the late 60's. I only used Gibson and Fender strings back in 1965-1967. BUT, as soon as I tried my first Super Slinky set, that was it for me. Been nice to have the pure nickel back combined with a hybrid gauged set. I've tried a couple of other hybrid nickel wrapped competitors over the last few years, booths just sound and feel better to me.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2252 Classic Pure Nickel Hybrid Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

I use these on a telecaster with alnico 5 pickups. The tone is much better when using the pure nickle as opposed to regular strings. The pure nickle have a much richer tone with the alnico 5s, however on a modern sounding strat with a humbucker they were a little dead sounding. If you have a vintage style guitar, or bright sounding guitar you should try the pure nickle strings. Darker more modern sounding guitars stick to regular strings.

For years, the Hybrid Slinky has been my "string of choice"! It is, simply, the best at any price. The pure nickel is better than the plated wire, so be aware of that-but that being said, both are superior products.

I just won't use anything else. The pure nickel wraps are a new discovery, they feel nicer to the fingers

What can you say about these stings. They have great tone and keep tune very well. Also easy on the fingers. Best of all: Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden) plays them - so you cant go wrong!

              Tone Monsters

              By Steve Sheridan

              from North Georgia

Comments about Ernie Ball 2252 Classic Pure Nickel Hybrid Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

I've tried many string guages made with different materials and these strings are a real find. In my quest for tone I went gone thrugh my 11's period. but found the two note bends very difficult so I went back to 10's. I tried RB Hybrids and found them a bit thin. Of course some of that had to to with the way my amps were set up. I saw these EB Rock n Roll Hybrids and decided to give them a try. I believe I've found the strings I've been looking for. They truly have the rounded tone of 10's and yes maybe even 11's. I would highly recommend at least trying a set to see for yourself. Bet you get more!
Once they are stretched in they are very good at staying in tune.
              Pricey, but worth it.

              You can't go wrong

Comments about Ernie Ball 2252 Classic Pure Nickel Hybrid Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

These babys are amazing. They're not too heavy and not too light. They're just right for normal as well as dropped D stuff. They're so much more comfortable than steel strings and they have a purer sound to them as well. They are definately worth it. I've had one pair for 6 months and they haven't broken yet. Hope this review was helpful.

If you have a strat or tele and you want a clean tone this is your strings. the D string on my strat has gotten bad fret wear. i must just press harder on the strings than most people
