Comments about Ernie Ball 2406 Ernesto Palla Nylon Black and Silver Classical Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I love Ernie ball strings and had very high expectations for these strings but they were mostly really bad strings. The only good things is they don't pop easily and the lows are pretty good sounding. The highs look nice but when they are played the sound is dead. Not only when you are plucking but when you strum the chord will not be balanced. they sound very dull and are not concert quality!

Comments about Ernie Ball 2406 Ernesto Palla Nylon Black and Silver Classical Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Good strings for practice or for just messing around at home. Bass strings are warm and bright and never seem to go bad even after about 6 weeks of constant abuse, but one expects that from Ernie Balls. Not ideal for concert or regular performaces as treble strings(High E, B, G) tend to go dead after 3-4 weeks of regular play. Treble strings remain consistent with regard to tunning and playability, but lose sustain after about the 3 week of playing about a 1 - 1 1/2 hrs a day. They look amazing, quite striking at first glance. Higher quality strings should be used for real performances. However for just practice and looking like one of the "cool kids" these are tough to be for the price.

These strings are great . They stay in tune and they make my cheapo classical sound like a much nicer guitar . They can't be beaten for the price .

I won't buy them again

By Pick Dropper

from ABQ, NM

Comments about Ernie Ball 2406 Ernesto Palla Nylon Black and Silver Classical Acoustic Guitar Strings:

My classical guitar sounds just plain flat. In fact, I keep checking to see if the strings have gone out of tune. At first, I thought they just needed to stretch in. After three weeks, they still sound flat (mostly the G). I love the look of the black nylon with the silver wound strings, but the sound is so terrible that I had to take them off before the end of their life. Bummer

Average Lite Gauge Strings

By Minnesota_Joe

from Minneapolis

Comments about Ernie Ball 2406 Ernesto Palla Nylon Black and Silver Classical Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Ernie Ball Black and Silver Classical Strings. These strings are ok but not great. Wanted to like them more as I have used hundreds of sets of Ernie Ball on my other guitars. The e, B and G are very light gauge, so they give a bright but thin sound. Not much sustain. I don't expect much life from them. I think once they are up to tension, they gauge much smaller than advertised. Takes a long time for them to settle into tune. The D, A and E are much better. Overall ok strings if you like a bright high sound, but aggressive players will probably break the e very shortly. I usually play La Bella medium hards.

Lovely

Comments about Ernie Ball 2406 Ernesto Palla Nylon Black and Silver Classical Acoustic Guitar Strings:

My wife bought these for me for the occasion of Christmas, and they are fantastic. They look terrific, and they do give a great rich sound, so as to say that they do not disappoint under the Ernie Ball brand. However, do be careful when stringing, if you don't give yourself enough string, you will end up in trouble, as the strings are not very generous when tuning. The high E actually snapped when I tried tuning it, but the others were fine. Overall, these strings look great, sound great, and cannot be beat for the price.

Lefty

Comments about Ernie Ball 2406 Ernesto Palla Nylon Black and Silver Classical Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These strings sound great on my Ovation Classical. Why pay more than twice the price of these strings when you get high quality sound from them? I removed some old ones (1 yr) and put them on a beginners' guitar and it made that guitar sound good even with the old ones on it. Give them a try.
