Renowned Slinky strings with well-balanced tone and improved sustain.

Ernie Ball 2725 Cobalt Extra Slinky Electric Guitar Strings are widely revered for their world-class tone. The Cobalt Series is clearly an improvement on its classic nickel-wound counterpart giving the player increased sustain, clarity and output. In addition, they resist sweat and moisture better and have unmatched flexibility when compared to other nickel wound strings.

"Ernie Ball Cobalt Strings sound and feel better than anything I've ever played! You have to check these out!" - Slash.
"Cobalt Strings feel incredibly silky under my fingers and deliver more punch, output, and clarity than normal strings!" - John Petrucci.
"There's a certain degree of clarity and punch you get from Cobalt Strings that I haven't heard tonally from any other strings I've played." - Joe Bonamassa.

All Ernie Ball strings are precision manufactured to the highest standards and the most exacting specs to assure consistency, optimum performance and long life. Made in the USA.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2725 Cobalt Extra Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

Ernie Ball Cobalt Extra Slinky strings have a higher output, brighter tone, and respond even better to gain than nickel wound Ernie Ball Extra Slinky strings. Despite having their own packaging, the plain steel strings are the same plain steel strings found in any set and they're very good, too.

The wound strings feel coarse and gritty under the fingers so you can "dig in" even with this baby gauge of strings. If you're used to nickel-wound Ernie Ball strings or nickel-wound Dunlop strings, it will feel like playing with barbed wire while sounding more 'metal' \m/ than nickel-wound strings of similar guage.

They're not for me, but they've got quite a charm. I'd recommend them for the novelty and for people who want more oomph from teensy strings.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2725 Cobalt Extra Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

I was looking for the newest earnie Ball String, the M series slinky. I have read about them, and wanted to try out a set. These have not reached the market yet, so I chose the cobalt strings. I have used these before, and have no complaints. The sounds is consistant and the quality is good. These are good, but the M series might be better yet.
