A couple years ago I was told to try Ernie Ball's and the moment I put them on my guitar and played them, I knew I had found a winner. These strings, especially for bass, last forever. I have NEVER broken an Ernie Ball string and I abuse my guitar & bass strings. These strings retain a punching tone even after months of use (although it will be much better for the first few weeks). These strings feel great and don't lose their sound. I've played many other string brands including pricier ones and the sound just doesn't last. D'Addarios mellow out far too quickly, and other brands such as GHS don't even feel right. There is no other string that I will ever use. No matter what gauge string, even the Super Slinky Bass, gives me a huge tone and punch from all my basses.

I got these string because I had broken my other pair. I had heard many good things about Ernie Ball so I got them, put them on, and at first they sounded amazing. I loved the sound. I've had them on for about a week and now I say don't buy these. If you need a quick fill in on strings and are on a budget, get them. But after the first week, they have a very bland tone for slap, pick, and regular finger playing. And for some reason, I play over an hour every day and when I'm done, my fingers are black from the strings. I don't know if that happened to anyone else but it happened to me.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2832 Regular Slinky Roundwound Bass Strings:

I got these because my friend told me how good EB's guitar strings are. Different with bass strings though; the tone is REALLY bland. Doesnt sound good with slap, picking, or finger picking. Neutral warmth, half bright. Good price for bass strings though. If you want a great tone, go with DR, rotosound etc. But if your really price restricted, get these.

These strings are great. I use ernie's on everything I own and the bass strings are no exception. They last for quite a while and age well. I highly recommend these to ANYONE, including my friends. If you try these you will be committed to ernie's just like I am.

I threw these on my Ibanez and it gave me the sound i was looking for and also my old strings were on there for about 7 months. These gave me the Punchy tone but did not cut my bottom excellent for what i play.

A bit disappointed

Comments about Ernie Ball 2832 Regular Slinky Roundwound Bass Strings:

Hey these strings are for someone else. I bought them to replace the Warwick black labels that I had on my Warwick Streamer Rock Bass and I wish I hadn't, that is for the most part. The E string is died from the get go, but the A and larger than normal D and G sound good. I guess if the E was better then I'd give these guys a better rewiew. Probably won't try these again, unless I use the stainless Steel ones

Comments about Ernie Ball 2832 Regular Slinky Roundwound Bass Strings:

I like the tone of the larger Regular Slinky. The E string really growls, and they last a long time. Never had one to break, and I'm rough on them.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2832 Regular Slinky Roundwound Bass Strings:

These are the only strings I use anymore. Back when I was a touring musician, I had an Ernie Ball endorsement and I got hooked on the sound.

Whatever bass you use, a new set of these will make it sound better. And what a great price.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2832 Regular Slinky Roundwound Bass Strings:

I had no clue how dead my old strings were until I popped these on. The sound of my bass suddenly livened up and it sounds SO much better. They're nice and bright, sound great for metal. They feel good most of the time, but in a few spots they can be a little rough, but callused fingers will have no problem. Overall, great buy for the money.

My old strings were coming unwound, so I got these. They'll make an ibanez sound like a spector, without giving up the great action. Theyre great fingerpicking or pick-picking. You'll never have to search for good strings again.
