Comments about Ernie Ball 2836 Regular Slinky 5-String Bass Strings 2 Pack:

I have played bass for 45 years. For 10 years as a pro, but most of the time in gigging bands. I have used Fender, Rotosound, D'Addario, and many other string sets. These are consistently the best I have used. I bought them to clean up the "floppy B" on a 5 string Squier V Vvintage Jazz

Comments about Ernie Ball 2836 Regular Slinky 5-String Bass Strings 2 Pack:

Plain and Simple........not better strings anywhere and the value is outstanding. Put em on a cheap bass and make it sound expensive....put them on an expensive bass and make it come alive. Long lasting and I have found if I wipe down the neck and strings after playing, they will last a long time. I just don't use any other strings since I started using Ernie Ball Slinky's about 10 years ago.

    Best Strings Ever.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2836 Regular Slinky 5-String Bass Strings 2 Pack:

I've been playing these strings for about 12 years now, first on my Stingray 5, and then on my Warwick Corvette, and they have never disappointed me.

They start bright, sound great, and really last. They also feel GREAT.

Do not hesitate to try these out.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2836 Regular Slinky 5-String Bass Strings 2 Pack:

I've played with many brands and I always ignored Ernie Ball. Big mistake! They have a fair/good price but the quality is much hier. Most important they sounds equal along the fretboard and behave very well for all techniques (pick, finger, slap, taping, harmonics). And also the brightness lasts kind-of long.

    Very Substantial Tone

Comments about Ernie Ball 2836 Regular Slinky 5-String Bass Strings 2 Pack:

I just bought a pack of these, and, holy crap, do they rock. I play an Alvarez Precision-style bass, and up until now, I've used D'addario strings. I have now been converted to the Cult of Ernie Ball. These strings give me full, thick, marvelously clanky sounds, reminiscent of Alex Webster, that fit perfectly with my melodic, Proggy style. You gotta get these guys.
