M-Steel Regular Electric Guitar Strings are made of M-Steel, short for Maraging Steel, is a superalloy used in high stress applications for the aerospace and defense industries. The wound strings are comprised of a patented Super Cobalt alloy wrapped around a Maraging steel hex core wire, producing a richer and fuller tone with powerful low end response. M-Steel plain strings are comprised of a specially tempered steel for maximum fatigue resistance. A patented winding of steel around the ball end of the plain strings reduces slippage, breakage and stays in tune better than conventional plain strings.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2921 M-Steel Regular Slinky Electric Guitar Strings - Buy 10, Get 2 FREE:
The M-steel feel a little different, but play very well. Surprising how well they work on a variety of guitars. On LP types, as expected, the LP has more overtones available, more overall volume with good balance. The surprise was how well they worked on my Semi-hollow Carvin SH550. Guitar always sound good but this brought out the hard rock side while improving on the jazz tones. Wonderful strings. I'm hard on strings and the m-steels hold on a bit longer.
Been running m-steels for few months and more than 10 sets. Glad they sell the bulk packs now!
