Ernie Ball Coated Beefy Slinky Electric Strings combine the latest technological advances in string manufacturing. All wound Slinky strings are treated with a micro-thin layer of enamel that prevents decay and corrosion up to five times more than uncoated sets. In addition to treating the wound strings, Ernie Ball has taken it a step further by reinforcing the plain strings with a patented winding of titanium wire.

Titanium's inherent strength prevents string breakage, string slippage, and is proven to keep your guitar strings in tune better than conventional plain strings. Ernie Ball Coated Beefy Slinky strings maintain the feel and sound of uncoated sets, combining the added protection with the vibrant tone Ernie Ball customers have relied on for over 50 years. Perfect for those who experience frequent string breakage.

Great Strings

Comments about Ernie Ball 3127 Coated Electric Beefy Slinky Guitar Strings:

I don't know wht these other guys are talking about with the negative reviews but for me these strings have been great. I have been using beefy slinky strings for years now and these are the first coated ones that I have bought. I put them on at least 3 months ago and they are still as bright as the day that I put them on. The tone is nice and thick and I didn't notice stickiness whatsoever. In fact, I couldn't even tell they have coating on them. I play in standard tuning and they work great for me. I like them just fine and will buy them again next time too.

Good, not great.

Comments about Ernie Ball 3127 Coated Electric Beefy Slinky Guitar Strings:

i didnt have a problem with tone, it was the durability. for coated strings, these did not last. they gave me a nice, full tone (I play mostly in Dropped B tuning) and the stayed in tune well. i got them mainly because they were on sale at the time, so it was a big why not? they werent bad for the price, but they wont last.

Not worth the money!

Comments about Ernie Ball 3127 Coated Electric Beefy Slinky Guitar Strings:

I decided on giving these strings a try, and I have to honestly say I got ripped off, They sounded dead, brand spanking new and they sounded like they been on my guitar for 6+ month road tour, and they get even worse as they get broken in, string response is like playing rubber bands, and the sound is like playing through a vat of mud. Keep in mind I still love my beefy's but i do not recommend these "Coated" ones to anyone, stick with the regular Beefy's and you will be fine.

These strings sound like an uncoated and play nice and smooth. I've always loved EB strings and I think these are great too. Give em a try.

Stay away

Comments about Ernie Ball 3127 Coated Electric Beefy Slinky Guitar Strings:

I love ernie ball strings, imo they're the best. but these strings are absolutely terrible. i've really like the elixer strings i've tried and i use ernie balls on all my guitars so i figured these would be great. wrong. the coating is sticky like beeswax and the strings are dead sounding, dull and without any snap. they need to come up w/ a new formula for the coating they use, until they do, stay far away from any ernie ball coated strings.
