erni ball super slinky are the best light guages you will ever find high quality last forever i have bought alot of these
I love these strings they are THE ONLY strings I usethey are the best hands down, before these I used Fender strings but they broke all the time but when i moved on to Ernie Ball Super Slinkys I have had them on my guitar for over a month now and they still have no broke while the Fender strings only lasted a couple weeks, and they also produce a great tone for pretty much any type of music and I will also add that they are great for bending witch really comes in handy.
I Recommend these strings to EVERYONE, I love these strings.i play heavy hardcore and they sound great, and when i put them on my clean setting on my marshall tube they sound just as good. ive gotten everything ive expected and more from these strings super slinky is the way to go. i accidentally left these strings on an old guitar for 5-6 months, tuned them and they sounded just as good as they sounded the first day i have them. if you never used ernie ball strings try these out. you wont be disappointed :]
Simply the best, most versatile string out there. Perfect for those with high action guitars or less hand strength. If you can handle them, jump up to the .10 regular slinkys though. They have a fuller richer tone. I do use supers on my fender that needs more playability help than tonal help though. I use the regular slinkys on a lower action squier tele. Both guitars sound great now. Out of the box, the strat sounded like a purely rock guitar, and the tele like a pure country blues guitar, but after getting the ernie ball treatment, they're both all around monsters now. Everyone comments about how you can't get a bad tone out of the fender now, and even though nobody wants to admit that the squier sounds good, (including myself after forking out the $ for a fender), it has a much more usable tone now, but still keeping that classic twangy tele tone. Tried lots of other strings, but have gone full circle back to the balls. If you play alot of different styles or want a clear bright tone, there are no other strings besides ernie balls.
These babies just keep suprising me. I can switch from blues playing style to punk instantly. They cover all different styles of playing. From Sabbath to Clapton, it's all there no matter what style of playing you use, use these strings. Only bad thing is it takes a while to get used to them.
