Comments about Ernie Ball Nickel Wound Single Guitar Strings 3-Pack:
I tried to install an .026 Wound as a D string But THE STRING IS TOO SHORT--- That means of 21 strings purchased, the.018W , .024W ,.26W 032W 036W and.042W strings can only
be used as LOW E or G. My Guitar is an Epiphone Emperor Regent with a frequensator tail piece. All of these strings are WORTHLESS. I'd like a refund.
Comments about Ernie Ball Nickel Wound Single Guitar Strings 3-Pack:
I use 10-46 strings and replace the plain 18 with a 18w, just my preference.
I have used these for decads.
Very good quality.
Great value for the price.
Comments about Ernie Ball Nickel Wound Single Guitar Strings 3-Pack:
These 3 packs of individual strings are awesome! I keep my Custom Tele Deluxe and Les Paul tuned down in drop C and Drop A respectively and I had been having issues staying in tune. Heavier strings did the trick. Not only did a beefier string drastically improve my tuning stability, my sound got alot thicker. I'm using these along with a set of Ernie Ball "Skinny Top Heavy Bottoms" and thet work perfect. Set up as follows: 60-52-36-17-13-10 for Drop C and 70-52-36-17-13-10 for drop A. I LOVE THESE STRINGS!
Comments about Ernie Ball Nickel Wound Single Guitar Strings 3-Pack:
Amazingly, after my high E string broke, my D string broke next! How can that be? Why didn't my B string break next? I'm guessing maybe it's because of all the power chord riffs I have been doing. If that's the case, then I recommend buying this 3-pack of electric Ernie Ball D gauge strings. Maybe you should even buy a 3-pack of A and Low E strings for that matter too.
Comments about Ernie Ball Nickel Wound Single Guitar Strings 3-Pack:
I love the option to buy these 3-packs. Pair them up with Ernie Ball 7-string sets and go to extreme lows. The thicker the gauge, the lower you can go. I've been dwelling in the depths of G#, G, F#, and F for years now. Lovin' it.
Comments about Ernie Ball Nickel Wound Single Guitar Strings 3-Pack:
I grab up a three pack of .058s, and a three pack of 9-42s for my seven string. I dont really like the ghs set, but the ernie sets are just cumbersome. The lights (9-54) have a nice top end, but the low B is left untames, where as the power slinkies (11-58) have a good low end tension, but the highers strings are unmanagable (of course these are my opinions). So I can grab these, and a three pack and I have optimal tension. What else do you need?
Comments about Ernie Ball Nickel Wound Single Guitar Strings 3-Pack:
to me, I think that 4 wound strings are better than only 3... if you play metal, because when you tune to drop Ab, & drop G, & F!! & drop B... all the way up to drop D, I think you need a wound G string, it's sound is MUCH better than a PLAIN string!! (when tuned low). I play anything from Jimi Hendrix to Slipknot, & these (wound strings) are great!!! now, I never buy a regular set of strings, I ALWAYS do MY OWN custom guages!! how 'bout U!?!
