I've seen a lot of the videos Ernie Ball has produced of these new strings, and while I haven't tried to break a string - these definitely feel stronger, in a good way. That same Slinky feel with better tuning stability and I feel like I can bend and shred without fear of a string popping. I bought three sets and used them on three different guitars, my PRS Custom 22, my Strat, and my Music Man Majesty and these strings deliver incredible tone, feel, and resistance out the gate. I was really impressed with the tuning stability, you definitely notice the strength improvements there. I also really liked having the strings sound fresh after two weekend gigs -- a noticeable improvement over the Daddario strings I had been trying. I'm definitely a convert to Paradigm!

I played 3 shows, and 2 practices then Pop goes the B.... 3rd practice, POP goes the A. This is all within 1 month from purchase, and pretty much how regular Slinky's hold up for me. Weather perhaps?...
(I traveled from CALIFORNIA to CANADA and played 2 shows...) Faulty pack of these durable non breakables? Geared for those with that feather like angel whisper strumming technique??? I dunno, but do know when I first put on a new set any brand strings... and I mean ANY set I can bend, and dive, strum madly, and create chaotic thunder like all them fancy Axe Slingers Ernie Ball shows wrecking havoc on 'em for a good 10 minutes... What I was looking for was tone, and added longevity, and willing to pay the x-tra normal pack X 2 price.... but, I'm left a bit unimpressed here. Has EB's quality just gone down?... I mean even my regular slinky's seem nothing short of weak... my band's other guitarist is swearing by D'Addarios.... Think I may have to give 'em a whirl... Sorry EB. Oh, and as noted on a prior post the return policy is mailing back ALL strings (Good and bad one's), and EB will then send another pack to you... Why not just be able to go into an authorized ED dealer, and get a new pack??? So, you buy one pack , the another to replace it, then wait on the return... a bit pricey transaction.

NO REAL "AMAZING" DIFFERENCE... FEEL A BIT "TAKEN"...

I'm sure they last long, but...

By Scarecrow

from Virginia

Comments about Ernie Ball Paradigm Regular Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

These were the worst sounding strings I've ever used. They do feel solid, but they lack tonal quality. They sound like they are built to last...ie, built like a Volvo. Strings are a part of the guitar where I would prefer good sound over longevity. They are a high tension feel though if that's your thing. I took mine off after 5 hours and put some Slinkys on and now all is well. Save your dough...buy Slinkys instead. Strings break sometimes (should be rare), and if your are a gigging musician, you should have another guitar on you anyways. If you are breaking them often, then you need to improve your technique or you have a burr on a saddle or nut.

Killer Strings

By Shredsnotdead

from St. Louis, MO

Comments about Ernie Ball Paradigm Regular Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

Im really enjoying these strings so far, they sound and feel great on my Les Paul. I'm going to put these on my Strat to see how they react to single coil pickups. I can tell they're stronger when I bend them they come back In tune better than the Elixirs I was playing before. I haven't played them long enough to compare the durability but so far, so good.

STRONGER THAN EVERYTHING

By DD

from Scottsdale, AZ

Comments about Ernie Ball Paradigm Regular Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

Ernie Ball backs up their strength claims in a big way. The tuning stability on my Ibanez was insane. I can bend sometimes two steps over and over, and my snark tuner reads that the strings settle in quick and stay in tune perfectly over time. I love the way the feel too. Smooth and buttery....

Great Sounding Strings

By Barry V

from Las Vegas, NV

Comments about Ernie Ball Paradigm Regular Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

I play in my church band and bought a few sets of these when they first became available. I string these up on my Tele and knew that these would be my strings for awhile. I absolutely loved the way these sound and gave me some freedom to really dig in and play. I've played Ernie Ball strings for years, and prefer those to other brands -- these just feel and sound better. And so far, they last a good while!

BROKE STRING IN 48 HOURS

By Dorianb5

from Arkansas

Comments about Ernie Ball Paradigm Regular Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

Okay look, I was hoping these strings would be my go to set. NO. Maybe if your not a lead player and you only play chords, but if that's so then you probably aren't looking at these strings anyway. They boast about not being able to break for soloist and people that bend strings frequently. I am a well guitar player who is an educated musician. No I don't use tremolo I have a hardtail guitar I bend half and whole step bends...I'm so disappointed in this product I was let down I thought this would be the end of all other strings to me. One last thing, the "replacement warrant" its real..but they made it so difficult to go thru the process and mailing your strings to them that you won't even get them replaced for close to a whole month..okay...end rant..

Comments about Ernie Ball Paradigm Regular Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

Marketing was very well done. Strings felt ok but nothing special. They were a little tense and lasted me only two weeks/two shows. Ernie Ball did send me a replacement set after I mailed back all of the strings and packaging. Not worth the money. Only play NYXL's now.

Unreliable, dead tonally, feel like 10's (I play 9-42's).
Now involved in postal tennis, why can't they just go back to the retailer?

I've had two packs now. One set of 10's and 11's. Both only lasted about a week or two. Broke the low E on the 10's within the first 48hours. The 11's were dead after using them for a weekend set. They are durable but there is better out there.
