I played these the first time on a different set and i love the sound so much i bought a pair for myself. they make the drums, no matter how cheap or expensive, sound amazing.
These heads are awesome, They give me that nice warm sound with sustained attack and kick I was looking for. My friend has some Remo ambassadors and they're not too bad, but I would choose these over the Remos. I bought them from my local music store and I got them for a little cheaper.
These heads are amazing. They play well for whatever the style. They bring out the power in your drums, and produce a big, full tone. They also play excellently with light styles, such as jazz--producing the PERFECT amount of vibrations.
These are great drumheads. There is no reason whatsoever for me to be the first one to post a review. They are very warm, very focused, and they make your toms sound sweet! I recommend the Evans E-Rings (don't even bother going for other brands' muffle rings). I have g1 clears as resos, but when they're not muffled at all they have multiple pitches that just sing beautifully (when your not the type of person that's hopelessly lost when tuning). Try out the EC Resos. I haven't tried them but they're probably similar to the g1 clears as resos but with controlled overtone. Watch the tuning videos by Bob Gatzen on the Evans site (for snare, bass, and toms) n he'll give you amazing tips that will make you much better at tuning, and get your heads sounding their best. Don't bother checking out Remo, or Aquarian. Stick to the one drumhead brand that you know you can always trust to make pro quality drumheads for the best prices. With the E-Rings, the Evans g2 coated heads are the best heads you can ever buy for your toms. The g2 coated is also amazing on your snare. You will not believe how much better your drumset will sound after reading a review and listening to tips from a 13 year old boy.
I just got a set of these for my drums which are a little over a year old and still had the factory heads on them. These things are awesome!!! If i knew my drums would sound this much better, i would have done it the second i bought my drums. Unreal difference!!
