OVERVIEW

52% iron mixed with 48% nickel is the formula for Alloy-52, the material used in the Everly 9210 B-52 Rockers Alloy Light Guitar Strings. This magnetically active alloy makes for an extremely durable, highly responsive electric guitar string, with awesome resonance characteristics. It resists tarnish up to 3 times over its nickel-plated steel predecessor and delivers more sustain and overtones. Alloy-52 is a mysterious metallic substance found in the desert just outside Pahrump, Nevada and is believed to have fallen from space.

Alloy 52, for strings that are out of this world.

These are hands down THE best electric guitar strings. I first found them about 10 years ago, and have loved them ever since. I have also been on a quest testing out every new "allegedly awesome" set of strings that have come out to find a set that can beat them and it's not even close. All the fancy ranges of Ernie Balls, you name it, I've tried them.
The only strings that I would ever consider playing besides these if I had to are the new NYXLs. They are very good strings, but in all only measure up to about half as good as the B52 Rockers.

B52's NEVER go bad. They are of course brighter when you first put them on, but once they get to that stage of "settling in" the tone is still thick, bright, punchy, crisp and lots of bite - moreso than any other strings when brand new - and they STAY that way. I've left these strings on a guitar for over a year and the tone was still totally up to par.

B52's DO NOT BREAK. Like I said I've left these strings on guitars for over a year, and I usually leave them on for around 9 months at a time; In 10 years of using these strings not a single one has ever broken.

These strings are also what I would define as "high-gain". They have a little more of a sizzle, in a good way, than any other string I've played. As I mentioned I actually like the NYXLs pretty well. Those I would define as more of a smooth, "low-gain", more punchy and pure tone as compared to B52's which have more life & bite to them.

Finally, the miraculous thing about B52's are that they don't get grimy. I have naturally clean hands and when I play other strings grease and grime buildup isn't really a problem, but after a few months on any other set of strings there are sections where I can at least notice where there is some buildup. B52s stay clean all the way up & down for as long as you leave them on.

I used to play 11-48's but recently switched to 10-52's (neither of which are offered here but I thought I'd mention it)

Comments about Everly 9210 B-52 Rockers Alloy Light Electric Guitar Strings:

These strings have amazing resonance and tone. Even on a solid body electric, unpluged, they sound and resonate like an accoustic, every note just rings out. I have used many different brands of strings, including some quite expensive ones and nothing compares to the B52's. They say that they are more magnetic due to the alloy used. Whatever it is they are amazing strings. Definitely give them a try, you will be surprised.

After years of using Ernie Balls and GHS strings I picked up a set of these and what a difference. Unbelievable tone that makes your guitar come to life. Only problem is the great tone doesn't last...after 10-12 hours of play they sound like Ernie Balls and GHS's. They're a bit pricy but if you play live, consider using these stings you won't regret it.

              Good but not long lasting

Comments about Everly 9210 B-52 Rockers Alloy Light Electric Guitar Strings:

Great sounding, the only problem I had is that the sets did not last as long as regular strings, sounded dead after three weeks of moderate use.

These are some great sounding strings, the special alloy really makes the strings more responsive and punchy when palm muting

I've used these strings more than any others throughout my guitar playing carreer. I have found, that they are grand. It is hard to get a pretty melody as they can't be held from their true purpose, to rock. However I'm not bothered as my style is not blues.

Comments about Everly 9210 B-52 Rockers Alloy Light Electric Guitar Strings:

It had been a long, long time since I actually got my tried and trusted Explorer out of the closet, kids, exwife etc. So when I did, the strings had to be replaced. I bought a 5 pack of the Everly strings which included a single set of the B52 strings. WOW! I had always been a GHS fan, but those suck when compared to the Everly b52. I have never ever been a big fan of brands, but when it comes to strings, YES it really does make a difference. When my 52 yr old ears can hear the difference then I am willing to bet that someone younger will be able to as well, not to mention those who perform will appreciate the quality. After all, the Everly bros were a great musical act in thier day. The expertice had made a great set of strings available at a great price.....enough talking.....BUY THEM... you will be happy you listened to an old codger like myself.
