I purchased these picks for furious strumming on my acoustic guitar. Fender thin picks produce nice crisp sound but I tend to break them a lot. Everly Star Grip picks are 0.50 mm which is a little bit thicker than the Fender thin picks but not as thick as my 0.60 mm picks. While the 0.60 mm picks are good for hard picking solos they are not so good for fast and accurate strums. Everly's 0.50 mm picks fill the needs here nicely. I was a bit apprehensive that a crack may develop in the narrow parts around the star hole. It doesn't. The fingers act as a support holding the pick from bending too far to the point of breaking. The only thing I would have wanted in addition is somehow the hole pattern match the way I grip the pick with thumb and two fingers instead of just the index finger. I feel more secure with three finger grip. Making hole pattern this way may be difficult, though.
The star grip is what you buy this for.
Good.
Reasonable.

Switched to these because I can't keep ahold of my favorites, Claytons. These picks stay put plaine and simple. I haven't broken any but I use 1.00 and 1.14's. I'm not the happiest with the sound they produce but as you get older you do what you must. If you have picks that slip up into your hand or that fly out of your hand try these out.

Comments about Everly Star Grip Guitar Pick Dozen:
I just a pack of these in green .88. I also got some Dunlop Maxi grip picks. They all are very hard to drop while playing, they stay seated and don't spin. The Dunlops have a slightly softer sound, and the attack on these is very good. For the price you can't get a better pick. I suggest them to all players.

Comments about Everly Star Grip Guitar Pick Dozen:
Nice pick. Looks cool and people like em', great for giving out. If you like the Dunlop counterpart, these are about the same with a little more flex because of the hole.

Comments about Everly Star Grip Guitar Pick Dozen:
I had previously dropped picks quite often for many many years. Since I've been using these, I rarely if ever, drop picks anymore. I tried the various gauges but have settled on the Orange .60s for both electric and acoustic 6 string. I originally bought ever type of product they made to keep picks near you/accessable(dunlop on mic stands, guitar string wedge behind the nut attachments, etc.) for when you did drop the one you were using. I still use the attachments, but now more for convienence...when I lose or misplace a pick.

Comments about Everly Star Grip Guitar Pick Dozen:
Small star makes them easier to hold in place. In the past I have punched holes in picks with a hole punch. A good pick at a good price.

Comments about Everly Star Grip Guitar Pick Dozen:
These are the only picks I buy. I like them thin, so the red ones are hard to find. I order them here and they are great!

Comments about Everly Star Grip Guitar Pick Dozen:
I can hang on to these picks. They don't turn while I'm playing. I like the yellow, orange and red sizes for guitar and bass. Best picks for me. I've never broken one of these picks but they will wear down after heavy use. That's why you buy a dozen or more when you find "THE" pick for you. When you find something that works you stick with it. I'm sticking with these. Star Grip picks rule. I like all Everly products.

Comments about Everly Star Grip Guitar Pick Dozen:
I live on the Gulf Coast, and sometimes have to play in triple-digit heat. I find that these picks are the easiest to grip with sweaty hands. That's mostly what I like about them. Other than that, they are pretty much just a pick...

Comments about Everly Star Grip Guitar Pick Dozen:
I have been playing guitar for 35 years and have never been able to hold on to a pick. This one does it for me. I rarely drop them. They sound great.
Great for flat-picking. An awesome pick all-around.
The thin ones are hard to find in the local stores, so I buy them from Musician's Friend. Great picks delivered to your door... it doesn't get better than that!
