Comments about Fender 3150SL Original 150 Pure Nickel Bullet-End Electric Guitar Strings - Super Light:

Fender nickel bullets fit perfectly into the body of Fenders to couple resonance with the guitar body and bridge block. There's always enough string left when you get to the upper bouts. The sound is smooth and mellow with good bass for the thin guage. I can practice about 30-60 minutes longer at a session before my fingertips give out, so I play better. And these light gauage strings bend if you just think of them--I'm bending whole chords all the time.
Now lets get some things straight. Nickle is one of a number of nonferrous metals that are highly magnetic. So much so that early scientists proposed that the earth's core was nickel to explain the earth's magnetism. If nickle wasn't magnetic then you could get no sound from magnetic pickups.
Fender's website calls these strings "all-nickel" and they have other nickel-plated and all stainless steel strings. The nickel ones sound the best to me.
If you have a Fender guitar with cavities for strings in the bridge block like my teles, you owe it to yourself to try these strings.

      Where's the nickel?

      By Gary Cullen

      from Minnesota

Comments about Fender 3150SL Original 150 Pure Nickel Bullet-End Electric Guitar Strings - Super Light:

I have been playing for about 5 yrs now and actually sound pretty good. So, I decided to try these "pure nickel" strings and catch the rich warm tone that Fender advertises with these strings. I received the two sets I ordered and proceeded to put a set on my American Strat. These strings come in a box and each string is in it's own paper sleeve. Silly me, I read the paper sleeves. The .008, .011, and .014 say " Plain Steel Bullet End Acoustic / Electric." The sleeves for .022, .030. and .038 say "Pure Nickel Wound Roundwound Bullet End."

Nickel is a non-ferrus metal which means a magnet will not stick or attract to it. However, all six of these strings stick to a magnet.

Boy oh boy Leo, times have changed.
I did not get what I expected. High E, B and G strings have no nickel at all.
Since my expectations are far from met, I say what quality?
You don't get what you pay for.
