Comments about Fender 5250ML Nickel-Plated Steel Short Scale Bass Strings - Medium Light:

So I put these on my short scale epihpone EB0 and I exidently tuned them an octave higher than they are supposed to be tuned... the only reason this happened was because they buzzed across the fret (non-audable notes)and so I tuned them until that stopped...

So my big thing against them is that they are WAY too thin. I have used thin strings before but these might as well be put on a normal guitar they are so light. For some reason I thought these might be good for drop-D tuning and I can't even keep them in standard (maybe tuned up a few steps? G standard?). Save yourself the trouble of even buying these strings. I learned my lesson, going for the extra heavy next time around!

Comments about Fender 5250ML Nickel-Plated Steel Short Scale Bass Strings - Medium Light:

Okay, I know that Fender strings aren't supposed to cool, but . . . . Popped these onto my Danelectro Longhorn to replace a set of D'A Chrome flats (that were so low tension that they rattled and sucked the tone out of this bass). The Fenders are inexpensive and provide a lot of punch—this bass has never sounded better.
