The first time I pulled the ACP-1 out of the bag it came in, the wooden cover had scratches and dings on the surface. Also the foam padding on each side that are supposed to protect your guitar from damage were glued together, so the pickup wouldn't even connect to the soundhole. I'm currently waiting on a full refund and expect not to be charged a %15 percent restocking fee. I figured since it is a Fender pickup that it would be worth $75, but it was very poorly crafted for such a big name brand. Don't buy, it's a waste of time. At least the customer service rep seemed helpful, but we'll see when I get the refund.

I bought the ACP-1 for use with my old Kawai acoustic. Didn't use it mush until my electric went in for repairs and I needed the acoustic to fill in for band practice. I ran the pickup through my Digitech guitar module and it sounded fantastic! I had to drop the bass level at the amp but the mid and treble tone was great. I used all the effects I usually use with my electric and the acoustic sounded great. Didn't miss a beat at practice. Great pickup for the money.

Have had this pick up for about a year now. I use it with my 38 Martin as I did not want to have to drill into my guitar to mount a pick up. Sound is very nice and clear, is also very quiet. Being passive it needs an eq. to give it some clean volume boost if needed. Good pick up for the money I am happy with it.

I've had this pickup for a couple years for recording (simply to get slightly more electric tones from my acoustic guitars), but I'm finally getting around to playing live with it. It's not as warm of a sound as you'd expect from a Fishman system, and it's definitely no Taylor ES, but it's a clear, bright sound that works just fine for me while I save up for a Taylor.

I just got this pickup for christmas after never playing it or hearing it or anything and I was psyched with it. I have a Takamine ESG523SC and its wicked nice but the built in electronics arent. This pickup gives a perfect acoustic sound, like putting a mic right inside the soundhole. It comes through crystal clear and the cable is great. The only way it could be better is if there were some kinda tone knob on it or somethin, but its awesome as it is. The velvet bag is sweet too.
