I have this tuner and maybe mines a dud, but compared to my 5 or 6 other tuners, this one tunes about a quarter step down (if thats possble). At any rate, it's flat. I used to like that when I played a lot of AC/DC (because it tunes perfectly to their Bon Scott era albums) but now it's just annoying. There are some features I do like, however. It's nice having and input and output, co you dont hae to unplug anything to tune in the middle of a jam session, gig, etc. Unless all of these are out of tune, totally buy this tuner!

There are a lot of tuners that do better for a lot less

I have owned about 3 of them over the years and every single one has been super faulty and SLOW, especially for the price. It takes forever for the tuner to read the note you just played....That is....IF the tuner reads it at all. There are a lot more tuners out there that are way better for a lot less money.

I haven't any doubts about the product's manufacturing quality or it's value for the relatively low cost, but my tuner has a problem - I can only get it to register the B string if I start with the G then depress at the fifth fret otherwise the tuner won't read the vibrations. So it's hit the G, lights come on, go to the fifth, lights stay on and I can tune. To tune the high E I have to do the same thing - start at the G and quickly work up through B to E. Kind of annoying.

I just received my tuner today and it's great so far. I really like how it four red light on either side of the green instead of just one like most tuners have, it really helps you to "zero in" on the exact pitch that you need. I would definitely recommend this tuner to anybody!

I use the AX-12 in tuning my Jose Ramirez R1 which I bought from Musician's Friend in 2003. I am still a beginner and I need all the help I can get when tuning the nylon classic guitar. The Fender AX-12 tuner does the job. Highly recommended for nylon or steel strings.

this tuner does work, but it seems to give readings that are hard to follow. it just has a hard time locking in a solid note.

I use this tuner primarily for tuning guitars and mandolins using the built in mic. It seems to be pretty accurate and repeatable if the tuner is placed very close to the source (on your knee when you are seated).The other tthing I like about this tuner is the red LEDs on either side of the green one will gradually fade out as you get closer to the correct pitch. This seems to help zero in on the pitch.

This is a great little tuner. Scratch that. It's a little big, and its super basic, but the features it does have are great. I like it because of the input and output jacks. I plug my guitar into it and it into my amp. It's about 1/4 step off if theres a such thing. I like it though because I have found it gives me an accurate tuning to play AC/DC. Great tuner.
