Factory covers today are not made of heavy padded vinyl like they used to be. However, it's nice to be able to buy a cover for your new amp without having to search for an independent vender who will make a cover for you. The Fender cover provides good protection from dust and sunlight when the amp is home and not in use, it also provides protection from rain when transporting the amp from the home to a car or to a place of use, however, the cover won't protect your amp from accidental bumps or bangs.

If you need to protect your amp, this is the cover you want. Well made, tough, not heavy like a hard shell case and it dosen't cost an arm and a leg. My Blues Jr. goes on the road with me twice a week and this cover has kept my amp looking like new.

Keeps my cat from sharpening her claws on my Pro Junior. Worth every penny. I also recently bought a Fender Mustang I amp and it fits it perfectly as well (although the "Fender" logo has to face the back of the amp to accommodate the handle placement). I'm buying another one.
