Comments about Fender Deluxe Jumbo Acoustic Bass Guitar Gig Bag:

I actually bought this to hold a Michael Kelly Dragonfly acoustic bass guitar; nobody at the time had M Kelly's own bag designs in stock. The Fender bag has to stretch a little to get around the Dragonfly's headstock, but it does work. This is what you expect from a basic gig bag; seems pretty solidly made, nice roomy pockets, nothing fancy. Does the job I bought it for.

Awesome bag... if only it was big enough.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Jumbo Acoustic Bass Guitar Gig Bag:

I bought this bag upon discovering that the Michael Kelly bass bag doesnt fit a Takamine G Series acoustic bass.

      PROS:

-For the money, this bag is made rather well.

-All zippers function smoothly, and are of a nice quality.

-The exterior material is a nice rugged denier nylon.

-The padding is pretty good for this price range. This was a surprise to me.

-Pockets, pockets, and more pockets. This bag has more pockets than you can shake a stick at.

-Unlike the Michael Kelly bag, this one had two shoulder carry straps. Very nice.

-The top of the bag has various attach points to adjust the carry position of the shoulder straps.

-To prevent interior damage from peg head or bridge, the interior areas in this bag are covered by heavy duty patches.

-The carry handle on the bag is padded. A nice touch.

      CONS:

-The cheap part of the bag is its interior material. Its that thin nylon that never lasts under constant use.

-Its not as rigid as a bag as the Michael Kelly. Not a huge deal, but it just folds over on itself when left leaning on a wall without a bass inside.

      - I had to return this bag, because it did not fit my bass (Takamine G Series bass). I encountered the same issue with the Michael Kelly bag. The body fits snuggly, but the neck is too long for the bag.

Like the Michael Kelly bag, I was impressed with the Fender offering, and its level of quality for the price. If these bags fit my bass, I would be happy with either one. If your bass will fit this bag, it should serve you well.
