We have a decent A-style mandolin that seldom leaves the house. We have a cheapie A-style mandolin that is going on a beach trip next week. But I didn't want to spend more than the cheapie mandolin is worth on a gig bag to protect it. Then I saw the Fender mandolin gig bag for a good price. So I figured, why not buy the Fender case and use it for the better mandolin when the cheapie comes back from the beach. At first, they said it was backordered, which would ruin my plans, but they found one somewhere and shipped it to me anyway. It arrived in a few days in a sturdy shipping carton. It is actually better than I expected. No it won't protect either mandolin from someone throwing a suitcase on it, but it will protect them from miscellaneous nicks and dings.
I won't complain - like some folks - that a mandolin case doesn't have room to haul around 10"x12" music books or whatever. It holds and somewhat protects the instrument, picks, and straps.
In other words, excellent value.

Excellent bag at a great price. Very good protection, thicker than a lot of other bags I was looking at. One of the best features is the different ways the strap will let you carry it, especially as a back pack. Seems to offer great protection.

anyone thinking about purchasing this gig bag should be aware that
the case may not have all the storage compartments described. the one I received only has
one (1) compartment. I'm far more interested in protecting my instrument. storage compartments are not that important to me, although it would have been nice to have some extra storage.
still in all its a very nice gig bag.
