This is a solid and sleek looking case. It does it's job protection wise. I don't have any worries about my bass when i'm lugging this thing around.BUT.. The latches are very faulty. I had one break within a month and they usually don't line up the best. Overall it's a good case but not perfect. just Be prepared to do some latch repair.
As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. My old 97' P-Bass fit nicely as did my new P-Bass (Aerodyne) with the exception of the neck(s) not resting properly (lying flat) in the case. There was space (a gap) between the back of the neck(s) and the case along the length of the storage compartment. The outer shell is (seems) very thin. The latches are made of very thin metal. If you are looking for something to store your bass in then this case should be O'K but I can't reccomend it for an active (gigging) musician. Go ahead, spend the bucks and get yourself a nice (good) case.
Fits my 5 string deluxe active jazz bass like a glove! No movement, no sliding. Solid build
I purchased this case recently, and found it to be an overall great buy. I have a Fender FSR Natural Jazz Bass and it fits in the molded case perfectly. This case also provides maximum protection of your instrument. I should know, I've dropped it down the stairs with my bass in it numerous times, and the bass has taken no damage, and the case is still in good condition as well. Also, the price is unbeatable! So trust me, if you want an excellent case that is affordable and safe, get this one. You won't regret it.
Seems very solid but is still very light, fits my fender precision jazz speical like a glove. The only problem is that what latch you close last sometimes doesn't want to close.
I have had this case for about a month and it has done the job. It fits my rogue bass gutar perfectly. See if you can find something better. The padding is not as good as someone of the other ones. Over all it functions but a little on the cheap side. Like I said, at a lower price, this thing is a steal. You are paying more for that cheap fender logo on it.
I bought this case for a new jazz bass that came with a gig bag. I needed something more heavy duty than the bag. This could have been a good buy, but the latches were misaligned to the point where they wouldn't close tightly! Also, they were frustrating to open/close because of this. It did not instill any confidence in what was otherwise a solid, roomy case with good interior protection. You may get one that happens to be built correctly, but I didn't... so much for Chinese quality control...
