In a world with a lot of guesswork surrounding replacement parts, proper fits, and innacurate specs, it was wonderful to get something that was a perfect fit. These were a perfect, drop-in replacement for the stock tuners on my new MIM Fender Cabronita. Installation took 5 minutes of work with a hollow tube nut driver (and that included removing the stock tuners). I've done 2 string changes since, and the pins / locking mechanism is as good as any locking tuner I've used in the past 21 years (generally Sperzels). Smooth and accurate gears. Expedient string changes. Staggered, so you can get rid of that string tree if you want and remove another friction / potential binding point. The break angle over the nut is not nearly as dramatic as with the bent steel tree, but the angle is absolutely sufficient and honestly the original angle was (IMO) putting too much pressure on the nut and without lube (e.g. Big Bends Nut Sauce) I could see that being a nasty binding point as well. So, these tuners are not only convenient, but definitely help the overall functionality of the instrument. Great and worthwile purchase.

The 3 treble-string tuner holes are filled with chrome! I wish I had discovered that before I installed them (and back when I bought them). So far I have been unable even to drill the chrome out. Seems like a major quality-control oversight. Advice: Inspect them before you install them.On the plus side, they were easy to install on a strat knockoff--no adjustments needed (other than clearing the chrome out of the holes!)

HAD AN AMERICAN STANDARD STRATOCASTER WHICH HAD LITTLE PROBLEM STAYING TUNED WHEN USING TREMOLO
AS I AM PLAYING SHADOWS/VENTURES STYLE MUSIC, AFTER I HAD CHANGE THE STANDARD TUNING MACHINE FOR THOSE (30 MINUTES TO DO), CAN PLAY MUCH MORE LONGER WITHOUT HAVING TO RETUNE. GREAT QUALITY.
STANDARD AMERICAN STRAT SHOULD COME WITH THOSE AS THE DELUXE, WOULD GLADLY PAY THE EXTRA TO GET THOSE, OR AT LEAST AS AN OPTION

These are great tuners if youve got a strat.I upgraded 1 strat with these and was pleased, smooth and stayed in tune, no change in pitch as lock was tightened. I had bought a strat select a few years ago that came with Schallers locking tuners on it, a more expensive tuner than the Fender i was suprised to find out but when you tightened the lock even lightly the string pitch would change.. that was a pain. So i bought another set of Fender lock tuners for that Strat and again excellent resaults. I,m Happy. Highly Suggest Fenders Tuners.

Wow i highly recommend buying these tuners. I bought them for my american standard strat excellent upgrade. They save a lot of time and frustration changing strings. Help stay in tune longer and look great. Plus easy to install.

ordered these for my american std. tele. they were easy to install, direct replacement. instaleed fender 150 bullet lites along with the tuners, its been 2 weeks and it is still in tune. goood quality at a very good price. i play pro. and highly recomend them.

I replaced the original tuning heads on my Fender Telecaster with these locking tuners and the guitar stays in tune much better now. They are great looking units and seem to be well built and I really like the Fender emblem on the locking knob. They fit right on without any drilling or modifications.

I give these tuning knobs a 9/10 because I did run into one minor problem. when attempting to install these on my cheap off brand SVK stratocaster, I found that these tuning knobs are held in place by 2 little nubs on the bottom instead of a screw off to the side. because of this I had to drill some small holes in the back of the headstock of the guitar. now that I have them installed I couldn't be happier with them. their tuning is perfect. the quality was a huge step up from the crappy knobs that were originally on the guitar. these knobs are a necessary upgrade to a stratocaster. before you buy these make sure of how the tuning knob is kept in place. if the knobs are held in place by screw and you dont have the heart to drill into your guitar I would consider another option. overall a very good product though.
These knobs have a great locking system that works great.
Top quality, these look and great. they work super smooth and flawlessly.
These are priced just like any other tuning knob. nothing special there.
