Comments about Fender Hardshell Mandolin Case:
I bought this to go along with my A-style mandolin (Fender FM 53S). After trying a few cases at local music shops, I found that it fits much more snug in most cases. I figured I would go with a fender case in hopes that it would fit the Fender mandolin a little better. Unfortunately, even though the case is relatively nice all around, the mandolin is not snug at all and easily moves from side to side in the case. This is not ideal for protection by any means and somewhat surprising considering they are the same manufacturer. I would recommend this to someone with a larger profile mandolin but, I would also recommend testing it somewhere first if possible. Finally, to clarify, mine came with a gold colored Fender logo on the top of the case even though it's often pictured without it.
Comments about Fender Hardshell Mandolin Case:
This protects better than those cardboard vinal covered cases and is a lot better than a gig bag. The molded models are a step up, but this one offers great protection with out the big bucks. If you own a mandolin, you need this case. You need to protect your investment & in my opinion this will do just that.
