Greetings!
I recently bought the Classic Player Jaguar, (please see my review there), and it came with a pretty flimsy gig bag. Since all my instruments are in cases, I needed to buy one for the Jag. Having spending hours reviewing all available cases, (there aren't many- it was just a matter of making a decision), I chose this one.
I'm glad I did. It's reminiscent of the cases you would get in the 60's- extremely well made, way cool Fender logo on the outside, and on the inside, well, my drummer said he'd like to get buried in something that looked this good!
I said well made- this is done in the old school way, with solid wood, beautiful white piping and stitching, chrome bumpers and hardware and an equally nice leather handle. This said, it is THE HEAVIEST CASE I OWN! With the Jaguar inside, it's even heavier than my Rickenbacker bass in it's case! If your plans are to use it for gigging, you may opt for a hard plastic case, since they're lighter, but if you want the best protection for your baby, this is the one to buy. G&G have done themselves proud by offering such a gorgeous product. When you open the case, you're taken by both the instrument and what lushness surrounds it.
This is the most expensive case you can get for a Jag/Jazz, but as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for". This case proves this adage to be true.

I bought this Fender Jazzmaster Hardshell case for a 1970's jazzmaster. I received the case and discovered that the guitar did not fit in the case. I spent about an hour trying to figure out if I was crazy. I tried turning the guitar upside down, backwards, all possible combinations. The guitar did not fit. It looks as though the case was designed for a left handed stratocaster/telecaster. Thinking the warehouse made a mistake, I called and exchanged the product for another. Same problem. I would avoid purchasing this case.

Comments about Fender Jazzmaster Hardshell Case:
Just a heads up. I purchased this case in the belief that it would fit a Squier Jagmaster, and it doesn't. Otherwise, case appears very much like the originals. Quality looked good. MF was willing to allow me to return for a full refund.

Comments about Fender Jazzmaster Hardshell Case:
I purchased a level 4 from Musicians Friend saying that it needed repairs. I save a ton of money over the original cost. I wasn't sure what I would have to fix but thought I would be buying some parts (hinge, latch or handle). When I rec'd the case, I looked it over and the hinges, latches and handle were all working and in good shape. The defect was one black nail was sticking out the side of the case that held the interior accessory wall straight. One hammer, TAP..TAP and it was fixed!!! Wow I couldn't be happier with a quality Fender Jazzmaster case for my Fender Squire J Masic Jazzmaster.

Comments about Fender Jazzmaster Hardshell Case:
I scored this case while it was on sale, and couldn't be happier. My Jazzmaster fits very snug, and doesn't move around at all when carrying it around. Some have commented that Jazzmasters don't fit, but they actually do. Fitting a guitar into a brand new case SHOULD be a little more difficult the first couple of times, as the padding will eventually conform to the shape. In my instance, the tip of the headstock had to be pushed in against the padding pretty firmly to get it go in. After a few times of pulling out the guitar and putting it back in, it became easier. This also happened with a brand new Gibson Les Paul case that I purchased for my vintage Les Paul Custom a while back. I ordered the brown exterior/gold interior model, which also looks superb with the Squier J. Mascis Jazzmaster (a VERY underrated guitar, BTW). The latches snap firmly and the lid closes perfectly. And the internal compartment has more than enough space for a few extra sets of strings, strap, vibrato arm and plenty of extras.

Comments about Fender Jazzmaster Hardshell Case:
The case itself is good but the alignment of the locks is poor. The latch and the receivers don't line up correctly and you have to push them to the side to make them close. One side wouldn't close at all until I soaked it with lubricant. Usually G&G cases are great but someone was not paying attention on this one.
Comments about Fender Jazzmaster Hardshell Case:
If I were to do it over again I'd buy different case. I really don't care if it has a Fender tag on it. Still the case works and does it's job okay.
Black case, black interior. 2 keyed latches, 1 flip latch. Padded inside. Plywood construction?
Case is kind of warped it will shut but seems to leave a gap at both ends. Not real bad. I've had better cases. The latches look cheap and the spring in one of the latches is too weak to open all the way. Hinges pop when you open the case. I hope it holds up to allot of travel.
They should give these away with the guitar instead of a gig bag! I don't think their as good as some of the other cases available.

Comments about Fender Jazzmaster Hardshell Case:
The case is well built, roomy compartment and good solid latches. Good fit for the Jaguar. I was very disappointed because mine did not come with the Fender logo so I feel I didn't get the advertised product that I paid for. It came in a Fender factory sealed box, so the fault is with Fender, not Musician's Friend. However, it's still a good case for a Jaguar, just don't count on it having the Fender logo.
Comments about Fender Jazzmaster Hardshell Case:
I use this for my Jazzmaster, and as everyone else says, it's great. Why wouldn't it be? It's a pretty standard case, and the keys are great. But somewhere at the heart of all of it, you know that won't protect you from crap when someone just walks off with the case and the guitar inside. Well, enough of that... it's great.'nuff said.
