    Greetings!
I recently bought the Classic Player Jaguar, (please see my review there), and it came with a pretty flimsy gig bag. Since all my instruments are in cases, I needed to buy one for the Jag. Having spending hours reviewing all available cases, (there aren't many- it was just a matter of making a decision), I chose this one.
I'm glad I did. It's reminiscent of the cases you would get in the 60's- extremely well made, way cool Fender logo on the outside, and on the inside, well, my drummer said he'd like to get buried in something that looked this good!
I said well made- this is done in the old school way, with solid wood, beautiful white piping and stitching, chrome bumpers and hardware and an equally nice leather handle. This said, it is THE HEAVIEST CASE I OWN! With the Jaguar inside, it's even heavier than my Rickenbacker bass in it's case! If your plans are to use it for gigging, you may opt for a hard plastic case, since they're lighter, but if you want the best protection for your baby, this is the one to buy. G&G have done themselves proud by offering such a gorgeous product. When you open the case, you're taken by both the instrument and what lushness surrounds it.
This is the most expensive case you can get for a Jag/Jazz, but as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for". This case proves this adage to be true.

This case is not made by Fender, though it does have the name plate on it. Regardless, the case seems to be built OK but I have a Classic Player Jazzmaster and it would not fit correctly.

The guitar has to go in on an angle and has to be sort of wedged into the case. The headstock barely makes it inside the case, and does not fit down into the padding around it - a hard impact to that end of the case, even if closed and locked, would probably damage the guitar.

A Jaguar might fit a bit better since it's a hair shorter, but I can't say I know for sure. Needless to say I wouldn't trust my guitar in this case, so I sent it back and bought an SKB case that the JM fits into perfectly.

Even if I had a guitar that would fit this case, I would only trust if for taking it for repairs or to a friend's house. I doubt it would hold up to the rigors of touring.

Comments about Fender Jazzmaster Hardshell Case:

Very pleased with the Fender cases. I much prefer these over the cheaper, generic, lighter weight cases for my guitars. These cases are actually manufactured by G&G and built well, similar to how they've always been made. This case works well with my Jazzmaster. The Jazzmaster case also works well for the Fender Marauder. This particular black case (black lining) had the hard plastic handle. I really prefer the soft leather-like stitched handles which some have, but the plastic would probably hold up better with lots of use.

Nice Case, fits my "Mascis" Jagmaster like a glove, would even say a little snug. Am using primarily for a storage case, so easily exceeds standards for this purpose. I'd recommend!

I was sent a completely wrong item. They sent a cheaper SKB case rather than this product. Very poor customer service. I sent the SKB back immediately and am still waiting to hear back from the company.

This is a terrible case. I have ordered it, returned it, and then recieved another, which was also broken. I wrote a review for this case before which never made it to the site (weird). This case requires a key, which didn't come with the case either time. It took weeks to arrive. Customer service was helpful. Also, the latches looked as though they were out of place, as if theyd lifted off the case altogether. So even if there was a key, I'm not sure it would have mattered. This is a terrible product. Do yourself a favor and get something else.

Just a heads up. I purchased this case in the belief that it would fit a Squier Jagmaster, and it doesn't. Otherwise, case appears very much like the originals. Quality looked good. MF was willing to allow me to return for a full refund.

I purchased a level 4 from Musicians Friend saying that it needed repairs. I save a ton of money over the original cost. I wasn't sure what I would have to fix but thought I would be buying some parts (hinge, latch or handle). When I rec'd the case, I looked it over and the hinges, latches and handle were all working and in good shape. The defect was one black nail was sticking out the side of the case that held the interior accessory wall straight. One hammer, TAP..TAP and it was fixed!!! Wow I couldn't be happier with a quality Fender Jazzmaster case for my Fender Squire J Masic Jazzmaster.

Comments about Fender Jazzmaster Hardshell Case:

I scored this case while it was on sale, and couldn't be happier. My Jazzmaster fits very snug, and doesn't move around at all when carrying it around. Some have commented that Jazzmasters don't fit, but they actually do. Fitting a guitar into a brand new case SHOULD be a little more difficult the first couple of times, as the padding will eventually conform to the shape. In my instance, the tip of the headstock had to be pushed in against the padding pretty firmly to get it go in. After a few times of pulling out the guitar and putting it back in, it became easier. This also happened with a brand new Gibson Les Paul case that I purchased for my vintage Les Paul Custom a while back. I ordered the brown exterior/gold interior model, which also looks superb with the Squier J. Mascis Jazzmaster (a VERY underrated guitar, BTW). The latches snap firmly and the lid closes perfectly. And the internal compartment has more than enough space for a few extra sets of strings, strap, vibrato arm and plenty of extras.
