I'm a big believer in SKB cases. Saw one that had been through a house fire. Looked horrible, but the Ovation acoustic inside did not even smell like smoke. Their gear is built well, and is built to last. Compared to similarly priced options from other companies, SKB wins the price/quality war. Countless musicians will agree that their gear does stand the test of time.
Latches are outstanding, interior is roomy and very supportive. I noticed someone say that this will not fit a Tele. This is absolutely NOT correct. My American Standard Telecaster came in one of these from the factory, and it fits like a glove. Also have one for my Strat.
You simply cannot beat an SKB case for durability and quality. Gator, Roadrunner, etc. make okay stuff, but SKB is tops, IMO. Hinges, latches, and gasket fit and work well, every time. Handle is a work of art by itself. Well balanced case, especially with a guitar inside. All this in a case that is lightweight, yet quite strong.
Actually about 30 dollars cheaper than the SKB branded case, and at $99...it beats any other offering at this price hands down.

The case is okay but defiantly not great. The outside is good but the inside leaves a lot to be desired. The lining is not plush and seems cheap. It would be nice if the accessory space had a lid or someway to keep things from falling out. The interior molding holds the guitar okay but the overall feel to me is cheap. I didn't get ripped off...I just expected a little better quality from something with Fender on it.

If you have ever had a brass latch flipped to the inside, and had to unlatch the rest to fix it, that's what I mean by idiot proof.. good value! Do wish it had an interior lid for loose items, not that the case is designed poorly, just for my peace of mind.

Good quality and sturdy. All latches are secure and durable. Provides excellent protection. The Fender logo looks cool too. Ample space in case to carry extra items if desired. This case is built like a tank and is on the heavy side, but no complaints here, the protection and styling easily makes you forget about that. I believe this case may be discontinued or soon to be. Shame ... my favorite case and highly recommend.

This case came with my American Standard Stratocaster back in 2008. It's light, durable, and best of all has a big accessory storage area in the case.
I noticed most all the reviews are positive and 100% of customers would recomment the product.
So then why would Fender discontinue it?! Probably found another supplier who would sell them a case a buck cheaper...
Good product I recommend you buy 5. Ooops, you can't, and neither can I.

The SKB case very sturdy case and air tight and water proof, not like the the tweed wood cases where the hindges break case gets wet and falls apart doesn't protect like the SKB

This is the second SKB case I have bought from Musicians Friend. I just bought a used Strat and needed a good case. I was very impressed with the way this case protected by Tele on various road trips so I bought one for the Strat. This case is bigger than the old Fender case but I think it offers better protection and I like the way it looks.
