Bought the black accessories to complement a new Fender black-white-black Vintage pick guard I was installing on my Clapton Blackie signature Strat. The back plate: problem 1- it's slotted not individually holed as was the original and is found with the white and aged white versions of this kit. Issue B- the slot was not wide enough -the base E-string hole was partially beyond the edge of the slot and the end ring of the string hung up between the edge of the slot and the tremolo bar- had to unscrew the plate to get it in.

Regarding the pickup covers, there were both too tall, the individual string pickup heads never got over the top of the cover AND most importantly the heads and holes lined up for only 1 of the 3 covers. Unusable.

BUT the volume-tone knobs fit and look good as does the 5-way switch knob. I couldn't get my the white tremolo knob off so can't comment on that. Luckily, the original white covers look great with the new knobs and 5 way switch and the back plate matched the black-white-black of the pick guard. So 2-1/2 out of 4 accessories worked but a big NO on the pickup covers.

Worked good enough for my Squire, will probably work better for other Strats.
After reading some of the reviews here I was hesitant to buy this kit. But I did, and am glad I did. I put them on my Squire CV 60's Strat, and they worked great. Except the tremelo tip, which was way to small for the Suier tremelo bar. I ground done the bar, and then it fit great. The Switch tip was a bit loose but I shimmed it a bit with a small pice of plastic and now it fits fine. THis is a decent kit, and doesn't deserve the bad reviews IMO.
Looks like genuine Fender parts
You might pice a kit together a bit cheaper, but this was easy.

I had a 2000 MIM strat, these products fit fine. Even the trem bar cover, which others have been having issues. The only slight issue I noticed was that the pickup covers took a little more work to get on than it took to get the old ones off. No biggy though. Really spruced up my cream colored strat with a turtleshell pickguard to put the cream accessories on instead of the white ones.

All the items fit perfectly on my MIM strat. It makes for a cheap easy upgrade for your strat. The tremolo tip is a bit difficult to get on but that is my only concern.

First off, the quality and appearance of these parts is just fine, I don't see what everybodys problem is.My Strat is a knockoff chinese mess (Squier) so I wanted to make it all around better. I dropped a HotRails in the bridge and the guitar actually sounds nice now, but it was a black pickup, my strat is black with white pickguard and white accessories, so I got the black kit so everything would match the new pickup. To jump to the end of the story the guitar looks sweet now, once i find a decent lookin pickguard the thing will be perfect, the black accessories really spiff up the guitar. Its a good value too, normally getting all these parts separate is way more expensive. There is a problem tho... these parts DO NOT FIT A SQUIER very well at all, thusly the 2 overall for my purposes, but they are Fender parts not Squier so I knew I was taking a chance. The pickup covers fit fine and so do the tone and volume knobs... the tip for the trem took a vice grip and a hammer to get on and its still not quite on there all the way, the selector switch tip doesn't fit at all so i just sharpie'd my old one a couple times and it works okay and for the backplate I had to put new screw holes in the guitar... Long story short, I wouldn't recommend this for somebody lookin to clean up their cheap strat knockoff unless your willing to put up with the BS involved in getting stuff to fit, I will say having gone through it all the guitar looks brand new and I figure on using it onstage soon, happy with my purchase in the end

All the parts fit my 2009 Mexican made Stratocaster perfectly. That is, except for the tremolo bar cap. It was a huge struggle to put that thing on, because it's hard plastic & it doesn't "flex." It still isn't seated all the way down, and the diameter of the tremolo bar would probably need to be ground down to get it to fit properly.But all the other parts fit perfectly and were a breeze to install, and they look good too. It looks like some others have had trouble with the parts fitting USA Strats, but they fit my MIM Strat just fine. Just beware of that tremolo bar tip; it's hard to put on (and hard to get the old one OFF, too).

I don't know what kind of so called "Strat's" these reviewers are trying to apply these parts to or exactly what they are expecting. I see no difference between the quality and fit of these components than what would come on a factory Strat. I've been using every component in these accessory kits with American, Mexican and Japanese Strat bodies, Custom Shop pickups, CRL or Fender 5-way switches along with CTS pots and everything fits fine. All holes align as they should on the tremolo cover, pickup covers fit perfectly as they should on Fender Custom Shop and Seymour Duncan pickups. If you have sub-standard bodies, pots and switches then expect things to be possibly different as far as compatibility.

When i recieved it in the mail, the pickup covers didnt fit ( they only fit mexican/japanese/foreign made stratocasters), the pickup switch knob wasnt even included, and the back plate wasnt even aligned to the screw holes. So do not buy it. Just buy the parts individually from dimarzio or somewhere else. I'ts much cheaper that waythis kit is MUCH too overpriced.

I was looking to finally get my strat looking nice and clean again with the white pack. It was all great up until I was putting it on. It felt very cheap and the backplate, barely even fits. Awful, DO NOT GET IT.

I bought these hoping to replace the old hardware on my '94 mim strat. The pickup covers didn't even fit, the were too short and the holes where to far apart. The knobs didn't even fit on, and the backplate was all scratched up. Really bad quality... way too expensive. a couple pieces of cheap plastic that may not even fit your guitar... beware
