Guys, the Super Bullets are a big part of what make Fender sound like Fender. If you're looking for a different sound, use a different string. These are the "OEM" parts for your rig. And, please -- do your audience a favor, and change your strings AT LEAST every 90 hours of playing time or 90 days, eh? Strings are NOT meant to last a year! They must sound like rotted canvas by that point! Every 30 hours/30 days is not uncommon for those who perform. How long a string "lasts" should be the LAST criterion on your selection list, not the first. Also, if you're breaking 'em right out of the package, get your guitar to a good guitar tech -- it's not the strings, it's your rig (a little 3-in-1 oil on a q-tip will likely solve the problem).I carry a couple of sets with my strat wherever it goes, and have found them to be completely consistent, reliable, and an incredible value for the money.

I've been playing guitar for about 10 years and by far these are the worst name brand strings you can go with. They have a terrible "new string" sound you can't wait to go. They break fast. I think the longest I had a pack of these on was 5 days.. yet Dunlop , D'Addario , GHS , Ernie Ball ...any other big company will last 1-3 months minimum.

I'm glad that Musiciansfriend doesn;t sell these any more and I'm getting sick of everything 4 or 5 starred when it doesn't deserve it. The only pull factor for me to get these was the bullets plus they where the first set of strings I bought when I took guitar seriously. I could restring any guitar in a shop as I've owned so many and these are the lowest of the low. The only company that is this low on my list is Dean Markley and their blue steel strings. Cryogenic freezing = strings that break fast and most shops can't wait to get rid of them.

A must for non-locking trems

By Hercules shreds

from Colorado

Comments about Fender Super Bullets 3250L Light Electric Guitar Strings:

Fender Bullets are the only logical choice for non-locking trems. The Bullet shaped anchor does three things: More complete string/trem block engagement for better tone, but more importantly, the anchor does not dig into the block. I've had so many problems with the cylindrical style anchors getting stuck in the block and having to use pliers and scribes to get the string out when it's time to change strings. This also helps with tuning stability as the string tension will change slightly on cylindrical anchors as they dig into the block. As far as tone (anchor shape notwithstanding) and longevity, I'll put them up against D'Addario XLs or Dean Markleys any day. Anyone experiencing tuning issues, keep in mind that most non-locking trems will go out of tune if you use the bar. Also, don't forget to pre-stress your strings prior to initial tuning.

25 years of Super Bullets

By BobEddy

from CA

Comments about Fender Super Bullets 3250L Light Electric Guitar Strings:

Great strings. Very flexible and nice full tone which lasts long after the strings should have been replaced. Use on my trem Strat, 71 and 59 Les Pauls. In 25 years I've only had a handful break. Maybe the guys complaining about breakeage have some bridge/saddle issues to deal with.

They really do make a difference

Comments about Fender Super Bullets 3250L Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I bought a 10-pack of these strings a couple of years ago, and I noticed right away how much better my Floyd Rose equipped guitars stayed in tune. I found it easier to dial in the action, and maintain the tuning. I was really surprised at the difference. Can't say why, but they just do. It's really disappointing that Fender no longer sells the 10-packs, so I decided to go with a pack of Ernie Ball Super Slinky's. Nothing wrong with the EB's, but the Super Bullets just hold up better with FR systems. Bring back the 10-packs, please!!!

Comments about Fender Super Bullets 3250L Light Electric Guitar Strings:

These Fender 9s are great. I just put a new set on my Strat and they are amazing. I have nothing more to say but this: These strings are high class. The strings I used before are nothing compared to these.

D string breakage

By Kenny-A-WGr

from NY

Comments about Fender Super Bullets 3250L Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I've been using fender mediums (10s) before this and decided to try lights. I like the playability and sound but my D string has broken/unraveled at the bridge twice and after only a week of two of use. I hate changing strings so I may go back to mediums or try another brand of lights.

I have used my Super Bullets standard on my Strat for 4 months and they are finally wearing out... These are great strings with the best feel, and sound, of any that I have played. I will certainly be using Super bullets for my next set also!

Terrible.

By MisterFastFinger

Comments about Fender Super Bullets 3250L Light Electric Guitar Strings:

These string are very sad. If your lucky, they'll last you a week before one breaks. Don't waste your money. They're terrible quality and the stupid bullet design makes them always get caught. I would give them a negative 10 if I could.

THESE STRING ROCK THIS WORLD AND YOUR GUITAR!!!!!!

By MATTLBREE1415

Comments about Fender Super Bullets 3250L Light Electric Guitar Strings:

When I got my fender stratocaster, the strings were already put on my guitar. but after a few months of playing the string broke. I put my new super bullets on and it sounded like a new guitar all over agian. When you play music like Van Halen, Kiss, Boston, Led Zepplin, and all those bands, you wanna have a guitar that sounds and plays like you want it and super bullets are the way to go!

Comments about Fender Super Bullets 3250L Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I these were standard on my Mex 60s Strat, so I picked up an extra set. The ones on the guitar weren't great, but I had no way of knowing how long they had been there. Well, when I changed to the new ones it wasn't much better. The tone never was good and forget pinch harmonics. They didn't really bend that well, either. Forget the trem - they couldn't hold a tune with light trem use. To make a short story long, I went back to EB and am happy. These would be good if you had to have strings and could get nothing else. They're not bad, they're just not good.

Comments about Fender Super Bullets 3250L Light Electric Guitar Strings:

Recently bought an American Deluxe Strat which came with these strings on it. They are SO freakin' comfortable I can't get over it. Nice and punchy too, and handle the bends really well too. Anyway I've been an Ernie Ball man up to now- and will continue to use those on my Gibson, but I'm ordering up a dozen sets of these babies as soon as I'm done typing this review.

Comments about Fender Super Bullets 3250L Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I play an Ibanez electric guitar and was recommended to try these strings from a fellow guitarist. They work great and have a very bright sound compared to other brand strings I have used. The bullet ends are great and seem to hold up better than ball ended strings.
