As a dulcimer player it is a bit of overkill. All I need is the chromatic function. Others, particularly beginners may find the rest of the modes makes their tuning easier.Dulcimer
For my needs this has almost too many options.
It can be used as a clip on tuner, for a crowdor may be used with the built in mike.
There are 4 modes: chromatic, guitar, bass and ukulele.
The pitch can be based on a @440 or from 435 thru 445.
the range can be adjusted from normal down thru 4 flats.
the screen comes on red if out of tune with an arrow indicating tune up or down. when string is in tune the screen turns green. Green is a narrow slice and it is very easy to pass thru green to red.
Screen is 11/16 " high and 1 and 1/16" wide making it very easy to see. when out of chromatic the tuner tunes by string number

Three small buttons to the left of the screen are easy to use as thet are raised and separated enough to avoid hitting two at once,

This little tuner is AWESOME! I had no idea I was going to buy this thing. It was on sale on a deal-of-the-day, and I decided to give it a try. First, it is much smaller than I expected - and will easily fit in the smallest of case or gig bag compartments. I like this because it is not some bulky piece of equipment to be toting around on your instrument. Frequency range is adjustable, and it works as a clip-on or can also be switched to use its on-board mike - increasing the range of instruments that can be tuned. The screen is amber for out of tune with direction arrows, and it changes to green when you hit the right spot. I'm sure it can be used even in the darkest of rooms, and is still easily visible in bright daylight. This will certainly take the place of my more expensive portable tuner. I have used this tuner with both my guitars and banjos, and expect to use it with my wind instruments too. After using this thing a few days, I'm going to recommend it even at regular price!

I've had this tuner for a few weeks now and it's a very good tuner compared to the chromatic tuner I was used to. The only negative I've noticed is that it's hard to tune the low E string.

This tuner is very imprecise. There is a wide range that it accepts as "in tune". You can be quite off, and it will still show you as being in tune.
For this price range, the Snark tuner is a much better option. I replaced this tuner with the Peterson clip on model, which is a much better tuner, albeit 3 times the price...

I had misplaced the first one of these that I bought, so I recently ordered another. I was not willing to compromise on the accuracy and overall quality, so I did not even consider any of the other tuners on the market. This is absolutely the best, most practical, and easiest to use tuner you can get.

This tuner allows for tuning while the rest of the band is playing because it "feels" the vibration. It doesn't need to "hear" the string. Accurate! Small and unintrusive but readable. I like the red / green display. The lighted display helps in poorly lighted venues. This is my second purchase of this product. This one is for a friend who has a tough time with other tuners. This should help!

My wife and I use this tuner in our church to get our ukuleles tuned. We have had others join us and use the tuner as well. It works for guitar and ukulele and others have purchased this tuner because they first used ours. They also have been very satisfied with it.

It doesn't work every well. I wished I had read the reviews before I purchased it. I have to pull the battery out and reseat it several times, just to get it to come on so I can use it. I don't think it tunes well at all. I usually have to use someone's Snark to get a true tune. Yes I am going to purchased a Snark. The Korg I have is almost as bad.
