Here it is folks. The strap that works, looks good, feels good, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I've bought cheap straps for cheap guitars and they ended up tearing at the hole that attaches to the guitar. Not pretty. These, are strong yet soft. Kinda like toilet paper only better. These are the best bang for the buck. I also have expensive guitars and I trust these on them.

I bought this to use on a telecaster with strap locks. It's a nice strap but there isn't enough adjustment in the body of the strap. In order to use this where I wanted my guitar (slightly above the waist. I'm 6' tall) I had to use the third hole in the tail portion of the strap on the highest setting which looked really dumb with strap locks. It seems like a nice strap. There were a few loose threads but otherwise not bad. Made in USA. That's always a plus.

Comments about Franklin Strap 2.5" Black Suede Guitar Strap with Silver Stitching:

I like wide suede staps because the don't slip off the shoulder and the width dispearses the instruments weight so they don't weigh you down.

After 20 years I finally had the opening stretch out enough to slip past a dunlop strap lock....so 20 years is pretty good durability of having is slung over the shoulder.

Comments about Franklin Strap 2.5" Black Suede Guitar Strap with Silver Stitching:

I was wanting a strap that would compliment my 50's CV VB Tele, this strap nails it perfectly. The suede holds it in place and is so supple and comfortable, I could play for hours with it strapped around me. After playing with this strap, you'll take every peice of nylon in the house and throw it out. Now if you are a show man and swing the guitar around your shoulder, it ain't gonna happen, this thing will rip your shirt off, which is what I love, you never has to adjust. Buy this strap and you will not regret it!!!
Thick supple black suede with silver stitching, adds wonderful style and comfort for playing.
Thick suede, should last for years
Most comfortable strap I've ever slung over my shoulder, for the price you can't beat it.

Comments about Franklin Strap 2.5" Black Suede Guitar Strap with Silver Stitching:

I recently got a pretty heavy Tele, and the standard 2" nylon straps weren't cutting it for comfort, so I decided to upgrade to leather. For the price, this strap from Franklin simply can't be beat. It's well-made, with high-quality stitching and doesn't seem likely to shed, unlike some other inexpensive suede straps. It's soft and really comfortable, and it's a few inches longer than most leather straps, so you can sling that axe just a bit lower. I like where it hangs on the longest possible setting, myself. It's grippy too, so once you've got it where you like it, it's not going to slide around all over the place on you while you play. This may or may not be an advantage based on your preferences, of course.

Bottom line, I'm having a hard time not ordering several more of these for my other guitars.

This is a pretty nice strap. Quality is there. Stitching is nice, leather is nice. Seems to "hug" the shoulder pretty good as well. Adjusts to fit easily.

Comments about Franklin Strap 2.5" Black Suede Guitar Strap with Silver Stitching:

I was looking for something comfortable, highly adjustable, and distinctive in a guitar strap. This one does it! This strap draws attention without going over-the-top with details. And I can play for hours on a substantial guitar (the Dean Palomino) without biting and shoulder strain. The suede is so soft that it drapes! The leather seems thick enough to hold up for a while, and the 2.5" width is just right for me- anything wider would be too much!

The dye process is great, too. I broke a sweat in a pure white shirt and it stayed pure white! I'm getting a second strap for my acoustic!
Stitching and scrolled end tabs are wonderful low-key details.
So far, it seems sturdy and should last quite a while!
I tried pricier straps at a guitar retailer, and I have to say that Franklin was the most comfortable. I was worried that the 2 1/2" width would be too much (I'm a girl), but it's so soft I don't have any "awkward" spots!

Comments about Franklin Strap 2.5" Black Suede Guitar Strap with Silver Stitching:

The tag on this strap read, "Guaranteed to be the most comfortable strap ever just like slipping on your favorite pair of moccasins". I think they had me there, and did not prove to be wrong after trying it out. I switched to this from a nylon strap so that the guitar would not shift around as the strap moved - this has proved to a good decision as this firm suede strap stays put on your clothing and reduces the tensions that are induced by trying to balance your guitar in place with a slippery strap. It is also beautifully crafted and inexpensive, and has many more length options than other straps of this style, as it has four holes and thus four choices for each adjustment level.

Comments about Franklin Strap 2.5" Black Suede Guitar Strap with Silver Stitching:

I have 3 Franklin leather straps including the one being reviewed here. I think they are the best value in straps on the market today. Excellent workmanship, soft leather doesn't bite into your shoulder or neck and suede backing keeps the guitar from sliding around. No complaints. I've had one of these for about 3 years and other about 2 years. Never let me down.
