When the stand arrived I opened the box and it smelled completely toxic-- As if there was an oil spill in my room. I actually covered the offending rubber piece with some old socks because it was making my guitar smell toxic as well. I'd avoid this product... unless you don't mind a very toxic and possibly hazardous smell... then it's probably a fine stand.

Similar to other reviewers, this is a great product for the money.  Picked it up on a Stupid Deal of the day for less but would pay full price for it.  I just picked up a Musicians Gear tubular stand for cheap as well but this makes those look like toys in comparison.  Highly recommended for a few extra bucks.

this is a really stable , well built stand that blows away the musicians gear tubular crap at a cheaper price ! I also like the fact that it folds flat for storage - by far the best ten bucks Ive spent on this site !!!

When this was offered as a Stupid Deal of the Day, I wasn't expecting much. Boy, was I surprised! This terrific stand is a good buy even at the regular price (let alone the half-off deal). It's very solidly built and sturdy, and very easy to use. It's also extremely compact, since it does not employ a neck support. Instead, it supports the guitar at the back, just above the waist, with  padded rubber at the top of the A-frame. Surprisingly, it seems just as stable as my other normal-style stands that use neck supports. The compact size makes it really convenient to carry to gigs.
