A powerful vacuum tube buffer/line driver and regulated DC power supply in one unit.

The Fryette Valvulator I V1 combines two useful and powerful features, a Vacuum Tube Buffer/Line Driver and a Multiple Output Regulated DC Power Supply. The Fryette Valvulator I Line Driver is a ruggedly built, compact pedal board and professional or home studio tool that operates on standard AC wall current and is housed in a rugged steel chassis topped with a sleek stainless steel vented cover. AC-powered.

Degradation of tonal quality is caused by three things:
    1. Loss of high frequency response due to cable capacitance.
    2. Loss of signal level and high frequency response due to impedance effects.
    3. Signal degradation caused by the design of the circuitry in the effects device.

The Fryette Valvulator I solves all three of these problems using a vacuum tube based Buffer circuit to change your guitar signal from high impedance to low impedance. You will be amazed at the renewed responsiveness of your instrument as well as the effect on your playing. In addition, the Valvulator I Line Driver input stage uses the same circuitry as that found in the input stage of most guitar amplifiers. This means you get the same dynamic feel from your instrument as you would if you were plugged directly into your amp.

The Fryette Valvulator I V1 provides four regulated and isolated outputs which will supply you with all of the clean regulated power you need to ensure maximum signal output and frequency response from you pedal devices. And because the line driver's power supply outputs are individually isolated, you never have to worry about ground loop hum.

I got one of these when it was VHT. Same thing now, just the name changed. Powers a few pedals very cleanly, but more importantly- this will add life and CLARITY to your tone and signal! From peavey xxx to Soldano Decatone, I am amazed at how empty my signal sounds when I don't use this! You can change the tube in it to get a different flavor in your signal. USE GOOD TUBES! DONT BUY THE JUNK ONES! Try mullards. The 2 outputs are flawless- your true signal x1 or x2. You can't find a better item to improve your tone/clarity. Read my reviews on here- I buy a LOT of stuff, and keep a few things- this, and the PF Pro Furman, are about all I've consistently had NO issues with. BUY THIS.

The ability to run a whole host of effects in front of the input of an amp with degrading the tone of the guitar or the amp is outstanding. If you play with a lot of effects or even just one that is constantly on this unit is invaluable, I use a isp tec. Decimator pro rack g constantly in front of an ENGL 580 preamp. While the ips is incredible for removing all the noise flawlessly and naturaly; some of the dynamics were a little loss when I did not have the valvulator in line.         Compared to other buffers designed for guitar like digital music corms gcx switching unit this one really does add to the sound quality. The GCX buffer did the same job but did not increase the dynamics in such a pleasant way.        Having a second output was a great addition as were the power supplies. Now I can run a tuner without it being in a signal chain or feed a second preamp with out my signal becoming watered down.        I have had no quality issues at all. And othere people who own them told me I could just open it up and pop a matching tube in to repair it (?)
