Step up to power protection with voltage monitoring capabilities for sensitive equipment.
The Furman PL-Plus II Power Conditioner with Voltmeter is all about safety for your expensive pro audio equipment. An advanced Series Multi-Stage Protection Plus (SMP+) circuit provides rock-solid, maintenance-free extreme surge suppression with zero ground contamination thanks to Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT). A front-panel meter provides precise monitoring of incoming AC line voltage from 90 to 128V. Unit has 8 rear-panel outlets and one front-panel outlet, a 15-amp rating with circuit breaker, retractable LED rack lights with on/off/dimmer control, BNC back-panel connector for gooseneck lamp with front-panel switch, and a front-panel circuit breaker. Fits in one rack unit and comes with a 10', 14-gauge, heavy-duty power cable, and 3-year limited warranty.
Furman's Series II power conditioners feature the Series Multi-Stage Protection Plus (SMP+) circuit and the exclusive Linear Filter Technology (LiFT). The maintenance-free SMP+ surge suppression handles the most extreme transient voltage spikes are safely absorbed, clamped, and dissipated without destruction of the circuit. LiFT takes ensures optimal performance through linear filtering with no leakage to ground, protecting the audio and video quality of your signal.
Series II units have super-bright, long-life, retractable LED rack lights that produce virtually no heat and provide an extremely long life span. There is an on/off/dimmer control for the lights. A BNC back-panel connector will accommodate a gooseneck lamp for rear-rack illumination. A front-panel switch controls the gooseneck's operation. The Series II units occupy one rackspace each and have a convenient front-panel mounted outlet.
A master switch controls operation of the rear outlets, and the front-panel circuit breaker can be quickly and easily reset should the unit be overloaded. The Series II conditioners come with a 10', 14-gauge, heavy-duty power cable.

This piece of gear weighs a ton and is way to big! Ouch! Not convenient whatsoever for the gigging musician, who already has enough to carry and haul. Also, the line voltage meter DOES NOT light up when plugged in? The original DOES do this. Why is this feature ommitted? A gigging musician would like to know immediately that the rig is getting power upon plugging it in. The original PL PLUS I is much more user friendly and does not weigh a ridiculous 11 lbs! It weighs only 4.I returned the PL PLUS II.
So I got this unit for my live rig which consists of a half stack and some rack units. When it came I decided to try it out on my little Ibanez practice amp at home to see what type of effect I could expect from it (I always get hiss out of it when the distortion is on and sometimes radio signals depending where in the house I plug in). I first got a sense of the noise without the Furman and then plugged into the unit and...surprise!! The his is still there...radio signals too. But the weirdest thing is that my amp sounded like a completely different piece of equipment. The tone was amazing...and out of this little 15 watt solid state. I had more sustain, a smoother overall sound and better responsiveness. It's so weird that the Furman didn't really do what I expected out of it but did something just as good, if not, better. One thing I will complain about though is that I don't get why the hell they put the lights on the front of this thing. Why would anyone have trouble seeing the front of their rig on stage?? That's where the stage light shines! To be fair they do have an outlet on the back of the unit for an attachable goose-neck light but of course you need to buy it separately. All in all I'll be happy I bought the thing if it works out this well with my live setup.
i like this product. i have had no problems out of it. it works great for me and my rig.
Before i got this conditioner i always had a horrible hiss in my recordings. As soon as i plugged my gear into this thing it was totally gone, and the lights in the front are a huge help in my rack. The only problem ive ever had with it was when i brought it to a bar gig and the breaker tripped, but i had all plugs filled up with maxed out power amps. Overall i love it
I have a Line 6 HD147 amp head, and few effects I run in front of it including a Digitech Whammy and an Ibanez weeping demon Wah. I was having two problems: This one place my band played I would always pick up radio frequencies, sometimes so bad I couldn't use the effects before the amp, and the digital presets on my amp one day changed themselves and I had an extra buzz going on in the background. I talked to some people on forums, and read some websites to find out what caused this and it all came back to the power source. I reset my amp and restored my presets, and based on recommendations I bought this power conditioner. I never again had a single problem with radio frequencies or my amps settings. This thing is fantastic and essential to my rig; I will never go without it again.
