Comments about Gator Cobra Series Dread Gig Bag:
The gator bag probably will protect you guitar better than the average case that costs twice as much. It has great padding and is comfortable to carry. I sometimes carry three guitars with me at a time (backpack and two slung over shoulder). Don't try that trick with hard cases. The only situation where a good hard case (two to three time the price of the Gator bag) is more appropriate is if you aren't transporting your own axe in your car or van. If you travel with it on on airplane or train or bus and need to give up control of it (or it goes into a truck) then you need to protect it against stuff being piled up or something falling on it and that's where the hardshell case probably has its one advantage.
I really love these Gator bags, since they are inexpensive, light and very protective against bangs and small drops.
Roomy front pocket, and (unpadded) shoulder straps. I wish the shoulder straps had a little padding.
Never had a quality beef with any of the Four Gator gig bags I own (keyboard, double electric, Cobra and Slinger Dread bags).
Better value than many of the expensive guitar-branded bags where you pay for the nice logos.
