This Gator case is fine for six string dreadnought guitars, with a shorter headstock like a Martin D-28. But for dreadnoughts with a longer headstock like a six string Guild, Epiphone or Gibson dreadnoughts, these guitars are too long to fit into the Gator case. It has the right body size for a dreadnought but not for the length of the neck - except for a Martin. Gator should extend the length inside this case so it would fit all six string dreadnought guitars.

Case arrived with one of the metal bumpers pushed through the plastic shell. Ordered a replacement, twhich arrived with a crack in the shell on the neck. If they won't stand up to being shipped in a box by UPS, they definitely won't hold-up on a plane, or other rugged use. The lid also doesn't sit right when the guitar is in the case, and the latches don't seem very secure when latched. Please Note: I bought the Jumbo size, but it's exactly the same description as the Dreadnought, and I did not buy it from Musician's Friend which doesn't carry the Jumbo version.

This is a great sturdy case. It is definately road worthy and has protected my acoustic through many trips. My only issue with it is that my AD411C Alvarez guitar is a little to deep for the case. Every time I close the case, I have to push down on the top of the guitar to get it to completely close. It's a dreadnought so I'm not really sure why it seems so big in this case.

I know this isn't what the case was made for but I actually checked mine on a flight from Seattle to Puerto Vallarta with my guitar inside and didn't have any problems. After having this case for about two years, my only complaint is that sometimes the top doesn't quite line up right when I close it. Other than that it has been superb.

I,ve had this case for well over a year and I highly recomend it to anyone who really wnats to protect a good guitar. I have a Washburn DX2000E and it fits PERFECTLY in this case... the guitar does not move an inch while in the protective inside of the case! When I go to gigs this thing gets in the trunk and banged around (I am a klutz!) and I don't sweat it for a moment.

I purchased the Gator Dreadnought case for my Takamine EG530. I had looked at SKB, Roadrunner and just about every other case available. For the money the Gator was the best. The case fits my guitar snugly, has room for a bunch of small gear (capo, extra strings, batteries, picks)and protects the guitar nicely. I just returned from a 1200 mile road trip and the case was jammed in the trunk with all our other stuff. There are a few marks on the case, but the guitar was unscathed. In fact I think it was cleaner than when I packed it. Okay...maybe not. I use this case to haul my guitar to weekly open mic jams and other gigs. It's light yet sturdy and really protects the guitar. If you have a beautiful guitar and want to keep it that way (for not much dough)buy the Gator. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPPOINTED!!!

Needed to replace the original (molded wood) hardcase that came with my Simon & Patrick TSU. This Gator case is wonderful. Well made, lockable and truly plush and protective of my favorite older, office guitar. A great deal.

I purchased the Gator Deluxe Dreadnought case along with the Washburn D10S during my last deployment in Iraq. The case housed my D10S for the duration of the deployment. I had to mail my guitar home as they allow us very little room for baggage on the return flight home. The case made it to my home with abosolutely no blemmishes and my guitar was, believe it or not, still in tune an unharmed. This case would further prove it's worth through many trips in the trunk of my car to various locations across our great country. I highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a case that can "hold it's own".

I found this case to be just what was looking for. A great looking case; lightweight yet made of solid construction. Just a note: The faux fur lining did stain my first few set of strings. I imagine this is common, just found it to be a bit disappointing. I now lay a flannel cleaning towel over the entire neck & strings to ensure this does not happen again.
