Excellent case BUT....

Comments about Gator G-Tour ATA Bass Flight Case:

An Epiphone Thunderbird Pro will not fit! The new Thunderbird Pro is 49 inches from headstock to the end of the body. I really hated to have to send this case back. It was built as tough as a tank!If you want a case that can take it, buy this case.

Comments about Gator G-Tour ATA Bass Flight Case:

This case saved my bass. While waiting between fights, I was flying from san diego to milwaukee to play a concert, I saw my gator case being loaded on my connecting flight. The baggage handler picked up the case and threw it on the conveyer belt. It flew 3 feet in the air before landing on the conveyer, upside down. Needless to say my heart was in my throat, I shouted "HEY", but only other passengers heard me. When I got to my destination, to my surprise the bass was in one piece and it was still in tune. The Gator G-Tour Flight Case is well worth the money. The only negative is the placement of the handle, the case is heavy in the front even while empty, not centered. Other than that the case is great.

Great Protection/Greatly Heavy

Comments about Gator G-Tour ATA Bass Flight Case:

This would be the ultimate case, had they put some wheels on it! But NO! We're forced to lug this massive, cumbersome behemoth with one arm...and THATS REALLY HARD, especially if you are traveling with other bags. On the bright side, this case has accompanied me to Korea and back, and it's been shipped all over the states with no problems. It's built so tough it's rediculous, but MAN IS IT A PAIN TO CARRY AROUND! In conclusion, if you need a case that can handle some serious abuse, well this one can do it. But it will break you off something feirce if you have to lug it more than a few feet.
