The bag holds up nicely, you can carry anything you would need, and the price is stellar for the bag you are getting.
If you're a broke college student like me who only needs a case to keep your friends from knocking your guitar over, then look no further. I got a Yamaha F335 and this bag fits perfectly for it. The front pouch is bigger than I thought, but I only keep a capo and a handful of picks in there, I'm sure it can fit a strap if the need arises. It's good for propping up against the wall, and the straps are good for when I need to walk across campus with it. I don't use the back strap, but that's just me. For the price this is the best gig bag.
A couple of random fibers shooting off of the stitching, but nothing a pair of scissors can't fix.
I don't need a hard case for my guitar (mostly because I keep it in my dorm), and I don't gig, so this works perfectly fine for those trips inbetween dorm rooms. Perfect gig bag for a guitarist on a budget.

Bought 2 of these based on the reviews on this page. Received them quickly, as usual from MF. The boxes were huge, but when I opened them it was mostly air.

The case just barely fit my Martin 6 string. My Martin 12 string did not fit. This is something that should be disclosed!

The fabric looks like it is heavy duty stuff, but there is, at best, 1/2 inch of foam around the body of the guitar and maybe 1/4 inch of foam around the headstock. The zippers look to be good quality, but the fit around the body of a Martin dreadnaught is so tight that you have to use great care not to scratch the guitar while operating the zippers.

The fabric and foam around the body will only protect your guitar from scratches. Do not expect it to protect your guitar body from anything but the lightest impacts to smooth surfaces. The foam around the headstock is so thin that it will not protect your guitar from bent and broken tuners.

Bottom line, I would not recommend this to a friend. If you plan to use this for anything except storage, do more research and spend more money than I did. And do not even consider them for a 12 string.

Awesome Bag

By Matthew Franco

Comments about Gator GBE-Dread Gig Bag for Dreadnought Guitars:

I bought this for the my Yamaha F335. Another review mentioned the same guitar so I figured that was a sign. A friend told me about the brand so I essentially went with one of the cheapest. The guitar came with a VERY cheap bag that only opened from the bottom... this bag zips around the side. I know most of the bags do, but this was my initial reason for replacing the bag that came with it. For the price it is totally awesome, in fact, I don't really know what else one would hope to find in a bag like this... Maybe the more expensive versions have more padding? More pockets? IDK, but one pocket was fine by me and the padding is enough for taking it around. The shoulder strap has two places to hook on so you can pick depending on if you sling it over your left, or right shoulder. My guitar was $50 so maybe if I just dropped $1000 on a Taylor or Martin I would think about a hard case, or a soft case with ultra protection. It seems to be constructed well, the zippers operate smoothly. Really happy with the purchase!

    Good case for the price

    Good case.
Offers good protection, but it was a VERY tight fit for my Epiphone AJ 220. The case is a little short, but, it will fit. Overall, I find this bag to be a great value.

Bought an old 12 string Yamaha guitar without a case, and this fit perfectly. It has enough padding to protect the guitar in my house, but might not be enough padding for traveling. It's an excellent case for light use. Good zipper and sturdy fabric. Great case for the price!

Comments about Gator GBE-Dread Gig Bag for Dreadnought Guitars:

This is a good inexpensive bag that is well made and offers a reasonable level of protection for storage or carrying in a car. It is not bulky because it doesn't have a lot of padding or space for carrying accessories. However, it is perfect for keeping dust, scratches and hands off my guitar while it's setting around the house. The bag fits my dreadnaught Alvarez well.

Comments about Gator GBE-Dread Gig Bag for Dreadnought Guitars:

There is no padding to speak of, but it is well-made and I am confidant it will hold up for a while. I previously had a gig bag with a lot more padding, and that seemed bulky and awkward by comparison. I wish this thing had a little bit more padding, but I only take it out once or twice a week and I'm very careful going in and out of doorways, etc.
