Best Uses

Comments about Gator GDJ-8x2 Slant Top Mix Station Rack Case:

I got this case to use as part of a small practice PA. The idea was: I'll mount our mixer to the top, and use the inside of the case to store/transport cables, mics, etc. The mixer mounted great, the case feels strong. However, there is **no back** to the case! Even the fabric cover that comes with the case (again, nice quality), does not cover the back at all. So cables and mics frequently fall out of the back (and front) of this case, which makes it more of a frustration than a help.

In fairness, I recognize that this case is built to mount a mixer on top and rack units in front (not primarily to stash gear inside, as I have used). However, even if I had rack units mounted in the front, those cables would still fall out the back. I just don't understand why a case that is clearly meant to be transported would have an open back with no cover.
