Gator makes good stuff, but this bag is awkward and not efficient. While you can store 2 pieces of gear on the inner rails...the bag itself is clunky. I'm almost at the point of cutting off the handles and slicing the zipper pouch so it would be flush.
this is a nice idea, a canvas bag with zipper pouch...but...
I like Gator gear ..
this begins to touch on the instability of the case itself...doesn't want to stand up by itself, nor can you stack anything on top..

In my previous review I said a lot a great things about this bag. It IS a great bag for the right gear. I have encountered a problem, however. The fabric enclosure and reduced size at the back because of the zipper design reduces the air flow and creates a build up of heat inside....I had to remove my amp head from the bag during a gig to allow it to cool down. I never had this problem with a molded rack case. This is something to consider if you are going to use this bag with any gear that tends to run HOT.

If you look at all the photos of this item you should realize that you MUST measure your gear carefully before buying this bag. As other reviewers have stated, there is not a lot of leeway, and this is a SHORT DEPTH rack case with limited room in front too. My Eden 405-WT fits perfectly, but keep in mind that the slanted design of the front of the amp places the control knobs flush with the front of the ears. Also -first I bought a 2 space. The amp fit, but the 2 space bag was a bit unstable....picture sliding the strap off your shoulder and putting this down upright on its feet when you get to your van or first bring it inside to your gig.... well, you don't want it falling over, right? The 2 space bag is narrow, and the Eden is heavy, sitting at the top when standing in the bag. Bad combination....and even worse if you start loading up the side pocket. Even in the bag, you don't want your amp head falling over...this is not a flight case! Maybe for a wireless transmitter or something light the narrowness of the 2 space bag wouldn't be an issue, but for me it was a problem. So I sent the two space back and got a three. I stuck a rack tuner in the extra space, and the 3 space bag is significantly more stable while standing prior to set up or being loaded....and it still is a LOT easier to carry than a molded full size rack case. One other thing to remember is that you probably can't stack heavy gear on top of this bag, like speaker cabs or other amps. My old molded rack case used to sit on top of my 4x10, then my keyboard player would drop his heavy amp on top of my rack case. Well, I didn't even try that with this bag....it's not as strong vertically and by design it's not as deep as a Gator or SKB molded case. It's very well made with good zippers and padded strap. For me, the tradeoff of the strength and size of the molded case for portability and ease of carry of this fabric case was worth it.

I got this bag a year ago for taking my rack mounted vocal FX to gigs. It's exactly what it looks like; a small rack (I got the 2-space one) surrounded by vinyl and a little bit of padding for the occasional bump while carrying. It has pockets all over, which is a plus for carrying cords. The biggest surprise is that the stitching & outside material is still good - none of the stitching is frayed, and the vinyl is not torn (without good reason).

A sturdy, good looking piece, but with its flat cover, the racks on this unit are much too far forward. If your rack gear protrudes at all - with tall knobs, for instance - it's useless. You'll never be able to zip it closed.
