      Ideal for home or studio

      By Jeffery Christensen

Comments about Gator GRCW Wooden Console Rack:

Ideal for studio use. Handles are secured to case in a sturdy manor. Rack brackets are solid and the case comes with plenty of screws and rubber washers for mounting equipment. Does everything a more expensive unit does.... I just don't think it would travel as well. I was in a gigging band for awhile and have seen what equipment goes through during setup, teardown and travel.
The velcro cover is pretty cool as far as removal and securing in place goes. It is a soft cover. It is made to protect the equipment in the rack from dust and light bumps.
My band practices at the same place every week. I move this case from a storage room at that building to our practice area... about 50' in the same building. The case works great for this. Not sure if the construction of the case could take road travel as well. Not as solid as other rack mount cases I checked out. This is all you need if your putting it in studio or minimal moving.
For the price you can't go wrong.

      YOU LIED TO ME!!!!

Comments about Gator GRCW Wooden Console Rack:

The description says "Features front, rear, and top threaded rack rail." Actually, there is NO rear rack rail. Other than that, great product!!! It seems a little delicate...like if I drop it more than once full of gear, it will break....maybe I'm paranoid. BUT, it is well-built, and it comes with rack screws!

      Go for GATOR!

      By Nick-V-v3e

Comments about Gator GRCW Wooden Console Rack:

We all know gator makes quality stuff. This will not let you down. 4 spaces on the bottom 10 on the top. The way I set it up is my peavey 14 mixer on top with the additional rack mount kit (the problem with this is that the mixer takes up 9 spaces. So a 8 top is too small and a 10 top was one size to large) With the extra rack space on top I put a power conditioner a rack space above the mixer. The bottom 4 spaces are sturdy but my only problem with this case is that you cannot use any of the rear of the case to rack mount as there is a piece of wooden rail where the rear rails would be. Also no side rails are not included. So if you have a larger amp that you don't feel comfortable beign held in with two screws when it weighs 35+lbs (I have a peavey 1500) you will need to put it on the bottom two rack space so it can rest on the bottom of the case. Gator also gives you a ton of screws with rubber grommet washers :)

      Multi-Format DJ

      By DigiTunes2000

Comments about Gator GRCW Wooden Console Rack:

Bought one of these combo racks a few months ago and I like. Price and quality are good which make the value excellent. Only drawbacks on features are no rails on the back side and the position of the handles make it a little awkward if you load it with 2 amps or more. This could be fixed if the handles were 2 inches forward. Otherwise I would recommend it to any DJ/musician on a budget just starting out.
