I purchased one of these for a Yamaha 12-string, but only because it was the only hardshell case they had in stock the guitar would fit into.The construction of the case is shabby--using "luan" which, while sounding exotic, is known to woodworkers to be a cheap grade of plywood noted for falling apart easily.Presumably, Gator is using luan because it is lightweight and they can claim to have a plywood hardshell case which is as light in weight as a thermoplastic or a hybrid case.Secondly, the case only has 1 storage compartment and it will barely hold a spare set of strings, let alone capo, spare picks, tuner, strap, and cable and any other accessories.I would recommend that if you are going to spend this much money on a case, that you consider a hybrid such as the wolfpak. They have more storage capacity, are as light in weight, just as durable, and have shoulder straps for carrying.
