These cables rock! Lightweight, easy to wrap, superb signal transmission and easiest to repair. One thing most people fail to realize is that ANY cable will fail over time. The difference here is that these can be fixed in seconds without soldering. That is a huge benefit to a professional. The fact that you can easily customize lengths with just a cutter and a screwdriver makes customizing cable lengths for your rig a snap. The reason George L?s are less expensive than other Premium brands is because they do not need to waste money on advertising hype, like Monster. Don?t get me wrong. Monster is a quality product, just overpriced. George L?s are worth every penny and then some. I have used them professionally for over twenty-five years. They have ALWAYS performed well. They take less room, weigh less, are easy to care for and LOOK retro-cool to boot!

I bought this cable due to a recommendation that came from a friend that has the same one. He was impressed by the clarity of the cable and convenience of being able to construct one should something happen. The problem I had, and although minimal given the design of the cable, is that when i first plugged it in I got static, tone loss, and volume kept dropping out. I couldn't figure it out. I called my friend who owns one, and he suggested tightening the 'set screw'. Sure enough, it was lose. I tightened it up, and all is fine. My other issue is that the cable binds up too quickly. It's not as flexible as other cables. It's a very hard cable and is unforgiving when it comes to movement. I find myself consistently untangling it. However, the sound is very clear, and brings out the true tone of the vintage wound pups I have in my bass. I just think the cable is over-hyped and costs too much for what I've had to contend with. But that's just me.

Comments about George L's Pre-Made Vintage Red Cable:
I wanted to return this but you can't return cables?
lame.
this cable was expensive and it sounds worse than a cable I got free with pedal
Comments about George L's Pre-Made Vintage Red Cable:
This cable is great. It is noticeably better than my old monster cable, and the price is right. The only thing I didnt like about it was the color, "vintage red". Its actually pink... but its a cable so color is hardly a concern. I do think black is a better choice however haha. I plan on purchasing at least one more george l cable very soon. You will not be disappointed.

Comments about George L's Pre-Made Vintage Red Cable:
Switched all cables over to George L in November 09. I did not realize what a difference they make until I replaced my last three 20 ft cables from my Pedaltrain > Amp In and to the effects send/return. Wow!! If I had only done this years ago...They give unfiltered tone, clarity, excellent signal strength, work well with effects pedals. They give my single-coil guitars extra shimmer and depth, and more clarity to my humbuckers.I've been using a 20 ft .155 for guitar > pedaltrain, but will switch to a .255, as the .155 tends to kink up. They are great, however for other long connections.I guess my only complaint is the cost, but making them yourself is fairly simple, and cheaper.Have not yet had any failures. Best cables ever!
Comments about George L's Pre-Made Vintage Red Cable:
I didn't think cable mattered that much. My cables are 30 years old..yeh..and the insulation has hardened. I plugged a George L in and was completely astonished. Crystal clear signal and it's quiet as a mouse. No more "mud" or "slur" in my tone. Compared to other "high-end" cables, George L is cheaper and definitely better...and worth it.I got the .225, and it is a tad-bit stiff. You can gently work it out though. I've now replaced ALL my cables, even speaker, with George L. What a difference. The solderless plugs are toooooo easy!P.S. I threw away the 30 year old cables without a first or second thought!

Comments about George L's Pre-Made Vintage Red Cable:
I've been using these cables .155 with stainless steele ends for over two years now. They've never let me down. The tone is remarkable, clear. Consise and noise-free. Either straight into my Fender amp or through my effects rack or pedalboard, my Tele "equire", Thinline or Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster have never sounded so good. I really notice the single coil sparkle and depth that Fenders are famous for. All of my cables in the rack, on the pedalboard and guitar in to whatever are George L's and will continue to be.
Comments about George L's Pre-Made Vintage Red Cable:
I noticed no difference in tone between a George-L and my more standard cables. The George-L also didn't take quite as much abuse as my other cables and it failed sooner than my traditional cables. Another thing I didn't like about it is the fact that the wire diameter is so small. It kinks up (maybe why the cable failed so soon) and tangles very easily. If you are in to making your own cables - then I would recommend buying the George-L kit - it's probably the best option around for creating good cables but - again, the wire diameter used here is just not very conducive to sturdiness and long life.
Comments about George L's Pre-Made Vintage Red Cable:
Very clear, no loss of signal. Will purchase more. Using it as the line from the guitar to pre amp. I get awesome tone and volume!
Comments about George L's Pre-Made Vintage Red Cable:
This cable is by far the best cable I've owned and used. Absolutely quiet, clean and crisp. On top of that it's pretty damn indestructable..
